The major part of Pakistan is comprised of rural areas, which are underdeveloped and lack of facilities as compared to their urban counterparts.

Developing country governments are increasing aware that they have a major responsibility for rural development and food security, but lack the capacity and solutions to meet the challenge.

The agricultural yields in developing countries continue to decline, despite technological innovations, their populations continue to expand beyond food production capacities.

Generate new technologies and assimilate imported technologies through adaptation and innovation.

Upgrade traditional technologies.

Well-informed farmers can select appropriate variety of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and a range of other agricultural inputs.

Food security problems facing developingcountries demonstrate the need for informedresearchers, planners, policy makers,development workers and farmers.

Information is also needed to facilitate thedevelopment and implementation of foodsecurity policies.

Education is one of the major 'agents of change' which can lead rural populations from abject ignorance and poverty to a variety of new concepts focusing on improvement in quality of life.

Development of basic skills relating to agriculture, natural resource conservation, poultry, livestock .It can play a major role in rural development

Rural Family Support Service is to assist families to have the knowledge, skills, and resources available to care safely for children and young people and to provide a quality standard of care.

Rural technology centre may assist in the following:

Provision of basic information on local techniques, customs, etc.

Provision of a basic infrastructure(facilities) for research and development activities.

Playing the role of intermediary between the rural producers and local authorities.

Training of rural producers.

We should increase funding for agriculture, rural areas, farmers improve our policies to strengthen agriculture and benefit farmers.

We should intensify work on projects to provide running water.

Electricity to rural homes, build and improve roads and construct rural housing.

Energetically improve rural working

living conditions, so that farmers can live in a nice environment.

We should improve our ability to prevent floods, control droughts(a period of dryness especially when prolonged) , and prevent and mitigate natural disasters.

We should make safeguarding food security our primary goal, and work tirelessly to increase agricultural production and also should keep the area planted in grain crops stable, support the growing of cotton, oilseed and sugar crops in the most suitable areas.
