Reading Visualising

VisualisingIn inferring we had to use our

visuals. For me to be able to

visualise I used key words,

pictures and evidence to

support my visualising. I think

it was the best way for me to

visualise doing these things

because I think I might need

to use it more in the future. It

was also another fun lesson

since I got to draw in my

book and imagine all sorts of

things. I hope we do more of

theses types of lessons.

What Is Visualising?

Visualising is when you imagine a picture in your head, from the words you read

in a book, that’s why authors don't always tell you what's happening in the book.

Maths Area

Area

In area we were asked to find the area of

triangles. While learning about area I had learnt

the formula and learned to break up the

shapes. After defining the area of a few

triangular shapes I understood the lesson and

decided to challenge myself. While challenging

myself I worked with 2 other classmates who

were also extending themselves - they came

up with really complicated irregular shapes,

which made it more fun and challenging.

What is Area?

Area is defining shapes and adding or multiplying their measurements together.

The formula to successfully get the accurate answer is: LxW/2

Challenging myself and telling Miss Cassar the work was to easy. It

made the lessons more interesting, and I think it made me feel more

comfortable around Miss Cassar because I was able to tell her

about what I needed to do to make me more engaged in the

lessons.

What am I proud of?

At the beginning of the year I had set out a goal to improve in my

reading. I think I have developed in reading a lot in term 1 and 2 -

thanks to the LLI system. I have found it very useful and helpful.

Reflection on my personal achievement

Again it would be reading but the thing that I think I improved most

on was being able to challenge myself. I felt like I learnt more this

year than last year because of challenging myself.

My learning goals for next term/semester

Mum for being here and for listening what I’ve done at school and

what I needed to do to improve in my learning areas. I will take this

time throughout the year to learn as many things as I can.
