We know that many of you still have connections to Skyline and have not lost that Falcon Spirit! On behalf of the Skyline Education Foundation, I invite you to help support the Skyline community. The Skyline Education Foundation, Inc. (SEF) was chartered to supplement academics in order to be competitive with the other high schools in the area. The goal of the SEF is to provide the financial means to Skyline High School students and staff in activities that support quality education in the classroom and beyond. We do this through fundraising events and direct contributions. Some of the ways we have supported the Skyline community are: Last year, awarded over $15,000 in college scholarships; Last year, $1,000 was granted for student special scholarships and teacher mini-grants for materials and new opportunities; **New last year and planned again for this year, SEF has committed to help support Skyline’s AP Initiative to increase access for more students to take AP classes. SEF has pledged to pay for half of all AP exams for the 4 core areas – Math, Science, English and Social Studies. This financial support would not be possible without your help and I would like you to consider giving a gift to students’ futures. Your contribution directly supports teaching and learning at Skyline High School. Your donation will be providing a means for our teachers to increase and add to their programs, as well as expand opportunities for our students. Here are what some students wrote after they received assistance from the SEF: “I am very appreciative of your support and assistance in making my future education attainable. I will be going to CU Boulder as a Media Production major with a minor in Technology, Arts and Media My hope is to one day be working in the film industry. The financial aide you provided me with will help my dream come to life as I pursue my passion in college.” Aaabrit S. (Class of 2016) “Skyline really helped me prepare for college, and the scholarships is going a long way in helping me pay for it! Thank you for choosing me for one of your scholarships…. I will make sure to represent Skyline well!” Logan E. (Class of 2016) The Skyline Education Foundation, Inc., is recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the IRS, and as a result, your donation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the extent permitted by law.
