The conference started at 5.00 PM Prof: Kuppa Venkata Krishna Murthy Chairman I-SERVE has presided over the conference. While addressing the delegates he referred to a number of Ancient Scholars and their noble findings and paid tributes to Sir JC Bose for his invention of Radio Waves propagation and plant life theories. He also narrated the I- SERVE’s R&D Activities in brief from its inception to unearth the sciences hidden in the Vedas . Sri Sri Sri Gnanadananda President Sri Ramakrishna Matt Hyderabad, the Distinguished Guest on the occasion has released the Book “RELIGION DEMYSTIFIED” published by I-SERVE. which is written by Dr.Vemuri Ramesam, Former Advisor in Dept. of Science & Technology, Government of India. Sri Gnanadanda lauded the efforts of I-SERVE in perusing the research in Vedic sciences in general and remembering the ancient scientific cultures in particular and wished I-SERVE for enhancing their capabilities in this pursuit.. Later Dr. T. Hanuman Chowdary , Advisor Satyam computers & TCS Hyderabad has reviewed the book . He congratulated the author and the publishers for the excellent Articles related 1

National conference on “Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose And Ancient Indian Thought”

21st December, 2008Venue: Pravachana Mandapa, Astalakshmi Temple Hyderabad

On the eve of 150th Birth anniversary of Sir Jagadeesh Chandra Bose I-SERVE has organized a National conference on Acharya Jagadeesh Chandra Bose and Ancient Indian Thought. Around 200 delegates comprising of scientists, Sanskrit scholars and indologists have attended the conference. Later Dr. T. Hanuman Chowdary , Advisor Satyam computers & TCS Hyderabad has reviewed the book . He congratulated the author and the publishers for the excellent Articles related to understanding “Life’s Mysteries “ in terms of latest scientific findings. Seekers of science and spirituality must go through this book which carries wonderful articles on Universe , human thought, etc. Then I-SERVE technicians demonstrated “Devanagari Computer Search Drives” newly developed by them. For this, they have used the Ayurvedic classical text book “Charaka Samhita” and it was widely appreciated by the computer experts.

Sri C.Umamaheswara Rao I.A.S(Rtd), former private secretary to Government of Andhra Pradesh, is the Chief guest on the occasion and he released the volume of the conference on “Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose and Ancient Indian Scientific Thought.” He expressed his deep sense of satisfaction in organizing this conference to commemorate Sir Bose. He said that the scientific papers contributed by eminent scientists in the country and abroad are of great value in terms of scientific thought and congratulated the authors and publishers. The papers in the volume on ancient sciences like Agriculture, Ayurveda, Sir JC Bose’s works, Chemistry, Botany, Anatomy, Agni Purana etc., are excellent and these prepositions need to be compared to the

modern technologies, he said. He stressed that the developments in Vedic sciences should reach the society, at large.

Sri V.Sai Prasad Sastry IRS, Deputy Director, Income Tax (exemptions), is a Guest of Honor on the occasion and he released the “Catalogue of Ancient Indian Scientific Manuscripts & Out of Print Books in A.P.” published by I-SERVE. He appreciated the work of I-SERVE in compiling this book. Several traditional scholars worked in the nooks and corners of Andhra Pradesh and compiled the data, he said. The search project is sponsored by TTD Tirupati. He also stressed the importance of such catalogues to know the where abouts of the rare manuscripts. He lauded the efforts of I-SERVE in striving for this work and their interest to collect such information from other states of the country.

Dr. Gandikota VSRK Somayajulu, Scientist(Retd), Dept. of Safeguards, IAEA, spoke elaborately on Sir JC BOSE . He said that Sir J.C. Bose has shown respect and gratitude to Indian scriptures & literatures and narrated the life styles of Sir Bose, his inventions in Physics and Bio-Physics.

After a brief but beaming Inaugural Session , the Technical Session was started. Prof. VLS Bhima Sankaram, Former CMD of APMDC, Hyderabad chaired the session. H.H. Sri Prasanna Venkatachariar Chaturvedi Swamy of Sri Ramanuja Mission Trust, Chennai, enthralled the audience by His Keynote address on” Plant Consciousness and Acharya JC BOSE.”

Dr. Vemuri Ramesem the Former Advisor, Dept. of Science & Technology, Government of India delivered an invited talk on “Re- engineering Your – “Self”.

Dr. Prof: Y.L. Nene a former Scientist of ICRISAT and the chairman of Asian Agri- History Foundation, Hyderabad, delivered an invited talk on “Ancient Indian Agriculture.” Dr. Nene briefed the agricultural techniques of Parasara 400 BC, Kasyapa 800 AD, Visiravallabha 1577 AD and narrated a number of salient features related to agriculture in those periods, which include rain falls, tools, implements, crop diseases, cattle management, seeds, soils, golden rice, plant Ayurvedic principles, ecology, plant protection, etc. which are of relevance to the present day agriculture.

The delegates enjoyed the sessions even though they were continued upto 10.00 clock in the night.
