SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME - 2015
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for Summer Internship Programme in the departments of Physics, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Food Engineering & Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy, English & Foreign Languages, Cultural Studies, Sociology, Mass Communication & Journalism, Social Work, Hindi and Business Administration scheduled to be held during June 1 - 30, 2015. Objectives: Some of the main objectives for implementing this Programme are to introduce the young talents into research at an early stage, open up the university facilities to students of other institutions and give them opportunities to interact with the experienced faculty members of the university. Accommodation: The selected interns will be provided accommodation in the university hostels on payment of Rs. 600/- as hostel seat rent. They will be required to bring their bedrolls and arrange for their food. No TA/DA or Stipend will be provided for attending the programme. Eligibility: Students pursuing in 2nd year / 4th semester of B. Sc./B.A/B.Com/B.C.A/B.B.A programme or 3rd year/6th semester of B.E. /B. Tech programme with consistently good academic records and a strong desire to take up research career. How to apply: Intending candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format attached herewith so as to reach the undersigned positively by May 15, 2015. Applications must be sent through the Head of the institutions. Applications found incomplete/received after the last date will not be accepted. The applications should be sent by post to the Controller of Examinations, Tezpur University, P.O Napaam, District Sonitpur, Assam , PIN 784028. Candidates who have already attended such internship programme in this University need not apply again. The list of selected candidates will be published on the Tezpur University website (http// www.tezu.ernet.in) in the 4st week of May, 2015. The selected candidates must report physically on 01.06.15 in the concerned Department for joining the programme.
