The tool is intended to be used by following the flow of worksheets as follows

1. Enter your hardware prices into the costcalculation tabels. Fields to be filed are marked by the €-Symbol. Estimate your average installation costs per cylinder in the sheet "Pipework".2. Calculate the amount of gas required by entering the room dimensions etc. The spreadsheet will calculate the number of cylinders required.

3. Choose from the cylinder bank listings the assembly(s) you require. The cost price will be entered automatically in the Bill of Quantity.4. In the "Pipework" calculation sheet enter the total number of cylinders to be installed against the appropriate cost data. (The total will be indicated at the top of the page). This sheet then estimates the cost for all pipework and installation.

5. Calculate the cost for the pressure relief vent. The size required will be detailed at the top of the page (transferred from the master calc sheet. Enter the size (m2) into the appropriate cell and the costs will be calculated and transferred into the Bill of Quantities.5. Commissioning and Door fan test costs are to be calculated by yourself as required by the client specification or site location/conditions. A minimum of 1 day should be allowed.6. Project management must be calculated manually, again consider the system size, site location and client specification to evaluate requirements.7. Complete (or add) any other costs in the B of Q. You can manipulate the selling price by adjusting the "global" margin or individual GM per line. Note once you have manually entered a margin against an individual item the global margin setting will not operate with this line. You can "hide" all cost and information cells and print this page out as a Bill of Quantity that can be sent to the client with a quotation.

Note; a nominal number of nozzles has been calculated based on the area. Exact requirements will be determined by the VdS calculation software.

A graph to calculate the Flow Factor is integrated in this tool. The re-entering of the room volume in B35 is necessary in order to have the possibility of manual corrections.

The value of Q60/Qg is calculated on the sidebefore. It gives the amount of nitrogen floodedin the first 60 secondes compared to the totalamount of nitrogen. Thus e.g. Q60/Qg = 0.9 means that in the first60 seconds 90% of the total nitrogen is floodedinto the room.

To get the Flow Factor, go up form the value of Q60/Qg to the curve and then left in order tofind the according value. E.g. the flow factor ofQ60/Qg = 0.9 is 3.2.
