Transport:

Public Transport is available (SBS/SMRT buses and MRT/LRT Train Service) from 05.30 till mid night. You can get a standard ticket from automated ticket machines or a prepaid Magnetic strip card for $12 with 7 as balance. But the initial $5 is not refundable. Though many tourist attractions are near to MRT/Interchange – be prepared for a walk.

Language and communication will not be a big issue as here all speaks English.

I suggest better use Taxies as you may not like to loss time in transit.

Thing to Remember: Carry of cigarettes, liquour are strightly avoided to avoid heavy customs fee. Chewing gum usage is banned here. Most of the days will experience rain for some time. Plan for an Umbrella always.
