Rudolf Steiner:Rudolf Steiner:Rudolf Steiner: The Inner The Inner The Inner Experience of the ChristExperience of the ChristExperience of the Christ class

Rudolf Steiner was a towering intellect, a piercing and far reaching clairvoyant, who produced over four hundred volumes including six thousand lectures and a substantial body of artistic work. Most of these had practical applicability on everything from education, medicine, agriculture, the arts, and of course, Spiritual Science. Most also stemmed from lectures given in response to individuals how came to him for help. All of these were given out of a deep sense of service and love. In this class, we will delve into the many areas in which Steiner

gifted humanity. We will begin our exploration with Steiner’s inner experi‐ence of ‐‐ and relationship with ‐‐ the Christ being. According to Steiner, the evolution of humanity was changed by the incarnation of Christ. Steiner does not retreat into a subjective or existential understanding of Christianity. For Steiner, it is an objective fact, that the evolution of human consciousness was changed by Christ. The class will be led by Franc Cavazos, using Steiner’s book, The Fifth Gospel: From the Akashic Record, six TUESDAYS, starting APRIL 19, 7:00‐8:30PM, and the cost is $15 per week. All, all is yours, and you are welcome.” —The Science of Mind text

Each week’s is led by a CLC practitioner, and lasts about 35 minutes, ending in time to comfortably get into the 11:00 celebration. There is music to enhance as you are guided into a

restful state, and inspirational read‐ings to tap into your spiritual center. Most sessions will end with a spiritual mind treatment based on the theme of the readings. Don’t be concerned about being late. There is an easy way to quickly get into the flow. Stand a moment outside the door and bring yourself to complete silence. Maintain that silence as you enter. You’ll find yourself suddenly present in the meditation and all is well. SUNDAYS 10:15‐10:50AM, upstairs in the Learning Center.

Immortal Diamond: Immortal Diamond: Immortal Diamond: A Study in Search of the True Self

Here is an opportunity to mine for the real you that has been there all along, simply hidden under the trappings of ego and False Self. As Richard Rohr

writes, “Life is not a matter of creat‐ing a special name for ourselves, but of uncovering the name we have al‐ways had.” We need ego to help us function, succeed, and belong. But if we let it stay in charge, ego stands in the way of living freely and authenti‐cally, from our God‐given identity and calling. We are called to “die before we die,” to discover that the promise of resurrection is true for each of us and now. Jesus’ death and resurrec‐tion is an archetype for each human journey. In the words of Gerard Manley Hopkins: I am all at once what Christ is, | since he was what I am, and This Jack, joke, poor potsherd, | patch, matchwood, immortal diamond Is immortal diamond. The CLC Children’s and Youth Services Department is devoted to celebrating the spiritual development of each child we teach. All age groups are involved in various activities, workshops, and special projects incorporating the teachings of Science of Mind. We strive to create an atmosphere of love and kindness in our words and actions toward each other and to recognize and honor the diversity of every person.

●●● Toddlers Toddlers Toddlers (up to age 3) are lovingly cared for by our toddler teachers. In their very artistically designed Discovery Room, the children are encouraged to interact and experience their world as only a toddler can. They are offered games, toys, books and other age‐appropriate activities in a safe, secure and loving environment.

What we teach our childrenWhat we teach our childrenWhat we teach our children We teach our children that God is Life — the Life within each of them and in all Creation — that all people are children of the One God, and therefore, are all brothers and sisters. ••• We teach that God is all‐inclusive and we are each created in the image of God — Good. ••• We teach that God is Love, and we honor God‐in‐all through love, not fear. ••• We teach that sin is simply a mistake and when we make mistakes, we are punished by them, not by God. ••• We teach that God is Spirit and present everywhere, that this Spirit is within us and speaks to us through our minds when we are willing to listen. ••• We teach that there are spiritual laws that must be understood and followed, just as we follow human laws. ••• We teach that religion is something to be used every day, not just on Sundays. ••• We teach that Religious Science is a religion that can be used at home, at school and at play; that since God is within us, heaven is also within us, that is we learn to live our lives in harmony with God’s Law, we live in heaven now. ••• We teach that keeping the mind focused on good causes a richer experi‐ence of life. ••• We teach that God is truth and beauty, peace and harmony; that as we grow to be more like God, our lives will be filled with health, happiness and success. ••• We teach that nothing is too wonderful to happen, nothing is too good to be true: everything is possible to God through me and you! —adapted from a work by Dorothy Quigley

You’re invited! Harris County Precinct 4 offers virtually free transportation to those age 50 and over, to statewide sights and attractions, that can be gotten to, enjoyed, and come home from within a ten‐hour period. Practitioner Larry Dines is organiz‐ing these, assisted by practitioner Ruth Catalogna, both of whom have been trained and certified as trip coordinators by the county. CLC will launch three such trips in 2016 — on Saturday, May 21; Friday, July 8; and Saturday, October 29. Here, you’ll find information on the logistics, the three selected destinations, and more. Questions should be directed to Larry or Ruth, and their contact information is below.

Who may go? Only those age 50 and above. It doesn’t matter which county you live in. You just need to get to CLC in time for departure. You’re encouraged to bring guests 50 or over, who must also be signed up in advance. There are a couple of narrow exceptions to this, such as caregivers or special‐needs children, both over age 18. For full details, talk to Larry or Ruth.

How much does it cost? $5 plus. Each trip will have its own cost, depending on the price of admission to sights. Five dollars ($5) will be collected from each participant to help defray costs like the driver’s lunch, etc. Participants will be responsible for their own admission fee to events, lunch, beverages, souvenirs, and any other add‐ons.

What generally will we do? Buses will leave the CLC parking lot promptly at the stated times, and return to CLC at the end of the trip. If an all‐day trip, everyone will have lunch together, each paying for her/his own meal. No food is permitted on a bus, but you may bring bottled water. If you have any special medical needs, please tell Larry or Ruth when signing up. Those in wheelchairs or using walkers can be accommodated provided we know about it beforehand.

Whom should I contact to learn more?

Each has spent hundreds of hours in training, to direct natural compassion into helping you through listening, caring, and spiritual mind treatment — affirmative prayer — to reveal the truth of you that is greater than any apparent limitation. Each is licensed by the Centers for
