A learning simulation in its truest form is an educational experience where the learner is learning from the outcomes of their own actions.

Why Simulation?
Greater match with how people actually learn:
1. Learning occurs because of immersion in a situation in which students are forced to perform
2. Feedback from environment and real-time adjustment of behavior
3. Done in frequency and compressed time-frame/learner hardly realizes they are learning
Retention
1. The average knowledge retention rate from a lecture is only 5 percent.
2. For a demonstration, this rises to 30 percent.
3. For hands-on practice, the retention rate climbs to 75 percent *
