SIMULATION FOR TW FEL @ LCLS-II
Tor’s question on the dependence of TW FEL on the electron energy
Looking at 13 keV (0.955 Å) FEL Seeded FEL with 1 MW seed:Obtained based on the SASE FEL simulation with 10 undulators for
Electron bunch energy of 13.64 GeV (43.136 m)Electron energy 10.5, 12, and 13.64 GeV
LCLS-II Undulator: period 3.2 cm, each undulator magnetic section is 3.4 m, and break length is 1 mElectron bunch:
Start-to-end beam: mimic of ideal bunch with 4 kA peak current, 0.3 mm-mrad emittance, and 1.3 MeV slice energy spread
