Before turning to the certified civil aviation training devicesmarket, Simnest Aviation was working on several independentR&D projects. In 2015 we decided to put our sole focus ondesigning and manufacturing professional FSTDs.

The experiences of our own ATO, Simnest Pilot Academygives us the confidence to build training devices that areprecisely suitable for the training of the next generation ofpilots.

Our colleagues' experience in mechanical and electricalengineering, flight safety and data analysis, softwaredevelopment and the first-hand experience of our professionaltest pilot lead us to build even better products to maximizeuser experience. Besides the skills and experience listedabove, our exposure to the certification process of severaldevices enables us to provide solutions for our customerswhich cover all their training needs.

We took the time to develop and test the best device to makethe opportunity of conducting large jet training the mosteffective way. Our fixed base APS ready FNPT II MCC typesimulators realistically reflects the A320 thanks to all the effortwe put in every little detail. The real cockpit feeling can befurther intensified with installing OEM parts.

QTG

Our Electronic Qualification Test Guide (eQTG) is an extensively developedsoftware, created and continuously improved by our engineers anddevelopers. It is fully electronic, based on the ARINC-436 standard and canbe exported to PDF instantly. The validation data comes from engineeringdata, flight data and real first-hand flying experience of 8 active airlinecaptains. This eQTG complies with the EASA CS-FSTD (A) requirements.

Additional support

We have first-hand experience of establishing and running an ATO or anFSTD operator organization. Apart from the technical support, we alsoprovide legal and business support to owners. These support types ensureflexibility because they are tailored to each of our customers.

Simulated failures

A wide range of failures can besimulated from 13 main groups,including engine, flight control,navigation, hydraulic and electricalfailures. They truly degrade theaffected component with all the sideeffects and combining failures isalso possible. Normal and directflight laws are fully represented,which allow the simulation of flightlaw degradation. The simulatedfailures are listed on the last page.

We offer high standard servicesincluding phone assistance, onlineticketing system, proactive errorprevention and 24 months’warranty. Transportation,installation, insurance & testing oncustomer premises alongsidemaintenance technicians’ andinstructors’ training are also integralparts of our service portfolio. Flying an airliner requires whole different skills than a light aircraftthe cadets have flown before. They have to get used to themodern fly by wire technologies, the different energy managementof a large aircraft and the characteristics of high altitude flying.These skills are easy to teach in Simnest simulators as varioussituations and conditions are simulated, making the transition to alarge jet easier. The daily operation is simple and practical thanksto the one button start-up and shut-down, no technician requiredon site. The intuitive Instructor station is a complex solution yeteasy to use, which makes the sessions twirling and savesvaluable time. The simulator’s vivid resemblance to the A320

Instructor stationwith Wifi tablet

A separate tablet comes with the device that can be usedas the IOS, to perform on-seat training.

Flight monitorsystem

A certain kind of data recorder with visual display. You canselect and record instruments and displays (even PFD orND). It records the sounds as well. The instructor canmark certain points during the training and discuss thenotes with the trainee during the debriefing session. Therecorded parameters can be loaded into debriefingsoftwares. The footage can be played in the simulator aswell, even during the session if it is necessary.

FOQA (eyetracking) + Flightmonitor system

The flight monitor system enhanced with eye trackingsystem, which allows the instructor to see where thetrainees look during the training. The instructor can seewhether the trainee looked out from the cockpit whenhe/she was supposed to, or which instrument/which partof the cockpit does he/she look at certain points of theflight training. Also can be recorded and evaluated duringthe debriefing session.

EFB (tablets +software)

2 tablets come with the simulator. Pre-installed with aperformance and load balance calculator developed bySimnest. You can also use the tablets during the trainings ifyou upload the charts to them.
