Similar Conventions Used

• In my research I have identified that many magazines use similar conventions, for example pugs, pull quotes, mastheads, images etc.. I intend to use the 4 examples given as I feel that the magazines that do include these conventions are the most striking and aesthetically pleasing magazines.

• This is a magazine that uses the key conventions that I have listed in the previous slide: As you can see from

this magazine the masthead makes the front cover, in my opinion, look very appealing, this is key as this will gather the attention of the audience when looking at my front cover.

The pug also develops the interest of the audience which again persuades them into buying the magazine.

The CVI is undoubtedly the most important convention that a magazine must include, this is what sells the magazine, the CVI must be striking and attractive in order to gain the attention of the audience.
