How SilverImage Works

• Canon software takes a photograph and stores the file on a hard drive.SilverImage then:

– Captures the barcode

– Renames the camera filename to the barcode filename

– Moves the file to a session folder for batching

– Records in a database what was imaged, who imaged it and when.

• Canon software batches all Raw images to jpeg

– Optional nightly batching of jpegs to central image server

Imaging Speeds

Current use with the software averages 2-5 images per minute depending on the operator. General average is 3 per minute or 1 every 20 seconds.

One station can produce:

1 hour = 90 images

1 day (8hrs) = 720 images

1 week = 3,600 images

1 month = 14,400 images

1 year = 173,000 imagesWe have had seen results up to 900 per day on one camera station.

Nightly Batching to Image Server

Image Server• View imaging progress
