Silver Fish Diner Logo/Signage Proposal

Silver Fish Diner is a 50’s themed seafood eatery located at 701 South Eden Street. This proposal outlines potential materials and designs that will lend themselves to portraying the restaurant’s desired tone and theme.

Theme: 50’s

Lends itself to a heavily art deco inspired aesthetic, as well as the retro leather and chrome style utilized by similar restaurants such as the Silver Diner. Where this design will differ from other such similar institutions in its approach to this theme will primarily be in its use of materials and lighting to achieve a sophisticated environment in an open and comfortable space.

Tone

The intent of design in this proposal is to create a sophisticated environment in which diners can feel welcome for all meals on all occasions. The visual design of this proposal makes direct reference to the art deco movement of the 20’s through the 50’s. By combining these geometric elements with a sensitivity for simplicity this design achieves visual playfulness without sacrificing refinement.
