Mia’s Vacation

Pirate Steve needed a break. Pony had him searching up and down the archipelago for weeks looking for Radiochocolate. Or Mia as she was

known. He sighed, he was taking a break. It was about time he got to catch up on 100 Bairn Challenge.

Steve! What are you doing lying around. I was expecting Mia here two weeks ago.

“You simselves don’t grow on trees.” Steve complained.

Steve! I need her here, she’s next on the list.“Aye, Aye Captain. I’m getting’ up.” He groaned. “I’ve been lookin’ fer

weeks an’ haven’t found not a trace of her.”Try Twikkii Island, she was due for some vacation.

“When do I get a vacation?”Sorry, you’re breaking up. *crinkles candy paper* I got to go.

“That’ll be moorin’ pass to Twikkii Island.” Steve said grumpily. He barely had a chance to kick up his heels.

Steve packed up his suitcase and headed to the docks. Hopefully this would be a quick trip. Just go get Mia and

drop her off in Silver Bend.

A scant three days later and he was on the island of Twikkii.

“It’s goin’ to take me forever to find ‘er.” He sighed.

He saw some people gathering around a shop stall. “Has anyone here seen a blonde woman, wearin’ a shirt

that says what the duck?”“What a weirdo, don’t talk to him sis.”

“But Stephen, that lady is staying at our hotel.”

“Hey, I’m Mr. Steve, where did you say that lady was?”“You stink.” The girl grimaced.

“Look I’ve been on my ship for three day, there ain’t a workin’ shower on it since I transported that Pokemon

family. Just tell me where yer hotel be.”“Two blocks down the streets. Can’t miss it.” The girl pointed, “Can you get me Charmander’s autograph?”

The hotel looked better than his usual dives and tents on the beach. Good thing he was using Pony’s stash of

treasure for the expenses. She didn’t need it on Silver Bend. He had hidden all his loot over the archipelago

but was too drunk at the time to remember where.

“Excuse me, but is there a lady here that calls herself Radiochocolate?”

“I’m sorry sir, you’ll have to pay for a room before you start making demands.”“Look just tell me. I be tired sailing all up an’ down the coast lookin’ fer her.”

“Jonathan quit being an ass. Miss Chocolate is her. She’s down at the beach at the moment.” The maid said, “You will have to check in before you go down. The beach is for guests only.”

“Fine, I’ll pay fer a night.”“Sorry three night minium.”

“Fine.” At least it wasn’t his money.

Steve didn’t bother going to his room, but headed straight for the beach. To find Mia sunbathing.

“I should keelhaul you.” He grumbled.“Hi Steve, Pony ratted me out I see.”

“Come on, we need to leave before the tide is out.”“Nope, I’ve only been here a day, I’m going to take my vacation.”

Mia said stubbornly, “Sit down and relax for a change.”

Steve plopped down in the sand beside Mia.“See how nice it is, Steve. Why don’t you take that jacket

off and see if you can get a tan.”“I don’t see the point.”

“To relax. Take a load off.”

Steve did as he was told. He saw that Mia wasn’t going to move until she saw ready. Simselves always were so

difficult.

Steve was just falling asleep when Mia got up and put her towel away.

“I can’t believe I actually got a tan. Come on Steve let’s get something to eat.”

“Hmmm, five more minutes.”

“I’m buying!” Mia called over her shoulder.Steve groaned and got up. Simselves!

Mia took him to the local market for lunch. “This mahi mahi is delicious.” She hummed with

pleasure.“The food is good here.” Steve admitted reluctantly.

“We should get massages next.” “We really need to be goin’.” Steve protested.

“Don’t be such a stick in the mud.”

Mia borrowed some of Pony’s fortune to pay for a massage. She planned to make the most of her vacation.

Whether Steve liked it or not.

Steve hung out in the hotsprings.“So you staying here for long.”

“No, I’m leavin’ in the morning.” Steve said, “I’ll be out with the tide.”

Mia convinced him to join her in the sauna.“I want to finish out my vacation Steve.” Mia told him.

“Pony wants you to be in Silver Bend ASAP.” Steve sighed, “I don’t want her sending a kraken after me.”

“It’s just two days.” Mia pleaded, “Look, you vacay with me and I’ll use my simself powers to speed up the voyage.”

“I’ll have to think on it.”

That night they each went to bed in their hotels rooms. Steve looked longing out to sea. It was strange spending

a night on land. Even at Pony’s house he usually returned to his ship each evening.

The next morning breakfast was served on Mia’s deck.“It’s nice of Pony to give you access to her money.”“She has no need fer it in Silver Bend.” Steve said.

“Did you think about what I asked?”“Aye, I think I’ll let you have yer vacay.”“Cool, I have just the plan for today.”

Now that Steve was staying, Mia dragged him to visit the Jumbok ruins.

“Please let me get a easy challenge.” Mia wished flipping a coin into the fountain. There was only reason Pony

was sending Steve to hunt her down.

Steve only knew one good use for fountains. Even ancient ones.

“Hehe.” He crackled.

“Holy Boolprop!” The sky growled and the fountain ran red with fire water.

“Steve what did you do!” Mia yelled.

They wisely left the ruins for the beach. Mia watched the fire dancer while Steve sulked on the beach.

Mia paid for a glass bottom boat tour back at the hotel. She wanted to try everything on the isle. However it was

too late at night to see much.

There was on more thing Mia wanted to do but they needed to find the map for it.

“Are ye sure it’s around ‘ere somewhere?” Steve complained.

“The maps are buried all over the place, you pirates aren’t very good at hiding things.”

It didn’t take too long before Mia found what she was looking for.

“I got it, let’s go!”“Don’t have to tell me twice.” Steve grumbled.

After an hour walk through dense jungle they arrived at the witch doctor hunt.

“Are ye sure we should be here? Those magic men are sneaky types.”

“Oh relax, this is going to be fun.”

“Oh hi there. I’m not really up for entertaining today. I’m afraid everything that I own is broken.”

“How about Steve and I help you out?” Mia offered.“That would just be grand.”

“I really need to learn when to say no.” Mia grumbled, “Steve are you done with the bathtub yet?”

“Almost!” Steve yelled back. He sank lower into the hot water, this was the life.

“Thank you so much for fixing everything in my house. How could I ever thank you?”

“How about a voodoo doll?” Mia asked hopefully.“I’m sorry I’m fresh out of those.”

“Well this was a crapshoot.”

Back at the hotel Mia found Steve hanging out on the beach. He sighed looking wistfully out to sea.

She sat down in the sand behind him.“You really miss being out to sea.” She said softly.

“Aye, isn’t she beautiful.” He replied.

“I’m ready to go.” She said, “Let’s go to Silver Bend.”

“I’m sorry there’s an extra charge to check out early.”“Yer a right pompous ass aren’t ye.” Steve chuckled.

“Money be no object to this pirate.” He set down a wad of cash on the desk. “We won’t be staying ‘ere again.”

The ocean breezes whispered it’s secrets to Steve as steered the ship away from the shore. It was good to be

back at sea.

Mia squinted off to the horizon. The time gate just out of sight. She wonder what challenge Pony had in store

for her. Hopefully nothing too challenging.

Ahh the beach. It’s cold in Texas today, I would give someone a dollar to be at the beach today. Mia’s

vacation is finally over and that ends rotation 5. On to Diems week in rotation 6. Happy Simming everyone!
