To develop mental management abilities. To become familiar with military history as it relates to America's culture, and understand the history, purpose, and structure of military services. To develop the skills necessary to work effectively as a member of a team. JUNIOR JUNIOR RESERVE RESERVE OFFICERS’ OFFICERS’ TRAINING TRAINING CORPS CORPS (JROTC) (JROTC) – This exciting elective course for young men and women with the desire to learn leadership abilities is offered to students in grades 9 12 Y ill dit t d d ti hil l i h t tk h JROTC t h 9-12. You will earn credit towards graduation while learning how to takecharge. JROTC teaches a variety of subjects throughout the year. You will be given complete Army uniforms to be worn one day a week and you will be able to earn rank and awards. FOR TWO YEARS OF JROTCFOR TWO YEARS OF JROTC

(2 – ELECTIVE, 1 – FINE/PERFORMING ARTS, 1 – PHYSICAL EDUCATION)

The purpose of this program is to provide secondary school students opportunities fortotal development. This includes instruction in life management skills, personal fitnessand other physical readiness activities. The course promotes good citizenship andpatriotism through character building activities that will benefit the cadet, thecommunity and our nation The JROTC learning experience is intended to be useful tocommunity and our nation. The JROTC learning experience is intended to be useful tostudents in any future career, military or civilian. This course provides ongoinginstruction in leadership theory, drill and ceremonies, hygiene and first aid, introductionto maps and map reading, techniques of oral communication. Must be willing tomaintain grooming standards (shave/haircut) and wear the Army uniform.
