Back to Sleep

Always place newborns on their back for sleeping.

Since 1995 and the implementation of the back to sleep campaign, SIDS incidence have declined more than 50%

Never place baby on their stomach to sleep.“Tummy Time” should always be supervised while baby is awake and alert.

Place baby on their back a firm, tight fitting mattress that meets safety standards for sleeping.

Remove pillows, quilts, sheepskins, pillow-like soft toys and stuffed animals and other soft products from crib.

Do not place baby on water beds, sofa, soft mattress, pillow or any other soft surfaces.

Consider using a sleeper or other sleep clothing instead of a blanket for sleeping. Ensure baby’s head remains uncovered while sleeping.

Do not over dress or overheat a baby

Do not use wedges or blankets to prop babies while sleeping

Babies can roll into sides and suffocate.

Avoid Co-Sleeping as it increases the risk for:
