SideCar Instructions 12/20/12 1:15 PM Yes you can use the SideCar with the Kickback. Follow these instructions! Step 1. Assemble the SideCar. The SideCar works on either side of the bike. Pick a side, and assemble as per this video (http://goo.gl/hjVnJk) If you aren't using the SideCar with a KickBack, just ignore the parts that refer to the KickBack, and follow all other instructions. Step 2. Remove the KickBack peg. The SideCar inserts into the same port, and takes the place of, a KickBack peg. It is much easier to complete this step if the bike is not resting on the KickBack, have a friend hold the bike for you, lean it up against a wall, or lay it (gently!) on the opposite side.

Yes you can use the SideCar with the Kickback. Follow these instructions!

Step 1. Assemble the SideCar.

The SideCar works on either side of the bike. Pick a side, and assemble as per this video (http://goo.gl/hjVnJk)

If you aren't using the SideCar with a KickBack, just ignore the parts that refer to the KickBack, and follow all other instructions.

Step 2. Remove the KickBack peg.

The SideCar inserts into the same port, and takes the place of, a KickBack peg. It is much easier to complete this step if the bike is not resting on the

KickBack, have a friend hold the bike for you, lean it up against a wall, or lay it (gently!) on the opposite side.

Remove the peg from whichever side you plan on installing the SideCar on. Depress the small brass button indicated in the photo and pull it straight out.

On FreeRadicals and the Radish, the button pops out a second time when it enters the gap between the frame and the KickBack. Just push it down again

and pull it all the way out.

Step 3. Insert SideCar.

The SideCar stems insert into the horizontal ports on the bike  one in the rear and one in the front (where you removed the KickBack peg). Start by

inserting the longer stem at the rear of the bike, then the front stem.

Insert the rear stem a bit first...

...then the front.

Make sure the front stem goes through the bushing on the KickBack, and into the frame. Slide it in until the frame of the SideCar is parallel to the

centerline of the bike, and there is only 95mm (33/4”) of the front stem protruding from the frame.

Tighten the front and rear quill bolts to secure the SideCar, make sure your tires are all aired up, then go ride!

Other Important Details:

The large Nylock nut may not be screwed all the way down on some axles. It is a Nyloc so there is little chance of it unthreading, however you can

tighten it down to the stop to reduce the amount of horizontal play in the axle. Some play in the system is normal, do not overtighten the nut.

To maximize the life of the SideCar's hinges, lubricate them with a bit of grease during assembly, and periodically thereafter. Keeping the hinges at

minimum tension will also prolong the life of the hinges: Minimum tension is the lowest tension where there is no play in the hinge.

Position the load close to the outboard wheel for best handling, and use a strap running from the outboard strap holes over the load to the inboard to

keep the cargo from entering the wheel.
