The Brukenthal PalaceOne of Romania's most beautiful baroque style monuments, the Brukenthal Palace was built after the plans of a Viennese
architect between 1781-1785. The edifice, that hosts today an impressive collection of paintings, graphic art works, sculptures from the XV-XIX centuries, preserves numerous original elements: pieces of furniture, wood sculptures,

Sibiu, Blacksmiths' TowerA present image of the medieval town, the Blacksmiths' Tower was built in 1631 on the foundation of an even more ancient Barbers' Tower. Grounding on a rectangular base, the tower is a massive shape when looked at
from inside the city walls (caption) but looms especially high when seen from outside. The slightly prominent corbels with boiling pitch hurling holes and gunloops fit even for lightweight cannons create a special
decoration for the upper part
