❖ WHAT IS NCC?
NCC stands for the National Cadets Corps which is the Indian Military
Cadet Corps. It’s headquartered is in New Delhi cadets and corps are
frequently invited students from schools and colleges in order to develop
them for the future.
❖ PLEDGE OF NCC :-
We the cadets of the National Cadet Corps,
Do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the Unity of India.
We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizen of our nation.
We shall undertake positive community services in the spirit of
selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.
❖ NCC FLAG :-
The NCC flag for various units of the NCC was first introduced in 1951.
The flag of same pattern colour and size was used by various regiments of
the Army. The only difference seen was NCC badge and unit designation
placed in the center. Later on, it was felt that the flag should be in kept in
with the inter service character of the Corps. In 1954 the exiting tricolor
flag was introduced. The three colour in the flag depicts the three services
of the corps, red for the Army, deep blue for the Navy and light blue for
the Air force. The letters NCC and the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus,
give the flag a colorful look and a distinct identity.

❖ NCC MOTTO :-
“ Unity and Discipline.”
It was adopted on 23rdDecember, 1957. In living up to itsMotto, the NCC
strives to be and is one of the greatest uniformed forces of nation bringing
together the youth from different parts of the country and moulding them into
united, secular and disciplined citizen of the nation.
❖ AIMS :-
The aims of NCC are mainly three fold:-
A. To develop the qualities in the cadets which includes:-
• Development of character.
• Comradeship.
• Discipline.
• Secular outlook.
• Spirit of adventure.
• Sportsmanship.
• Ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
B. To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to
provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service
of the nation.
C. To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in
the Armed forces.
