Franco was born in San Remo, Italy., and now lives in Palm Beach, Florida. Opened for Frankie Avalon in Los Angeles, where he sang Pop-Opera songs from Andrea Bocelli in front of 9,000 people. Franco has shared the stage with International Artists, including Andrea Bocelli, Jerry Vale, Al Martino, Jimmy Roselli and performed for Donald Trump in his Palm Beach Residence, Mar-a-Lago.

A great combination of songs that creates Passion and Understanding. If you like Andrea Bocelli, you will love Franco Corso!!

Vivaci! (Formerly I Ballerini e le Voci d'Italia ) was founded in 1972 by Cav. Elba Farabegoli Gurzau. Elba, the author of Folk Dances, Costumes and Customs of Italy (1963). Elba directed the group until 1998, (now Paul Torna). Elba remained involved with the group until her death in June of 2003. In late 2005, the group was renamed Vivaci!, the original name Elba Gurzau wanted to give the group. The group's goal is to learn, share and teach the varied and diverse folk arts of Italy,

Joe Polito has performed for many private parties, corporate functions, as well as several clubs in Delaware, Maryland, PA & NJ such as the Tropicana Casino's Market Place, and large audiences at the Three Little Bakers Theatre in Wilmington, DE and has shared the stage with legendary groups, Danny & The Juniors, The Dovells and was the opening act for the Duprees and Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge! Joe Polito's visual performance, as well as vocal, has audiences everywhere longing for the days of Tome Jones & Englebert Humperdinck wooing their fans.

Ray Massa's EuroRhythms have a proven track record for great entertainment for a Truly Authenic "Festa Italiana" while capturing the attention of the diverse audiences typical of any public festi-val. The EuroRhythms professional musical talents are compliment-ed with six vocalists including Ray Massa, Tony DiMelfi, and Marco Capoccia. Songs from Italy's Pop Charts to great Italian hits of all styles from the 80's to the 50's and favorites of Louie Prima. swinging "Zooma Zooma Baccala", Ce la luna", and "Buona Sera", Bel Duetta….. songs that range from Puccini to Sinatra, there is some-thing for everyone in Bel Duetto's glamorous concert of thrilling and beautiful music. Amanda Beagle has performed leading soprano roles in many musical comedies and operas including: La Boheme, The Gondo-liers, Bye Bye Birdie and The King and I. Craig Raymaley made his professional debut with Opera Theater of Pittsburgh. He has gone on to sing more than fifty leading tenor roles in opera and musical theater pro-ductions.Bel Duetto...a little Puccini, a little glamour, a whole lot of fun!

SideWalk Serenade is an oldies vocal group and band that have been entertaining audiences throughout New Jersey and New York over 7 years. All members of the group performed in the past with other oldies "doo-wop" groups and bands, and SideWalk Serenade is the result of those experiences. Their music includes 50's, 60's and a sprinkle of 70's. Whether it’s doo-wop, Motown or classical rock, you'll find yourself remembering those days gone by. Their style plays to the audience and encourage audience participation.

The "Tre Bella" group of Lorraine Ferro, Theresa Sareo and JoAnn Robertozzi have been a singing trio since early 2007. They had been solo vocalists before starting with this multi-talented all girl band. Their harmony vocals have been compared to that of the Andrew Sisters and they recently recorded their first CD "Tre Bella Sings". They have appeared at the famous Nela Gala in Washington DC, the NYC Red Carpet Columbus Day Parade, NY Mets Italian Day at Shea Stadium, San Gennaro Feast in NYC and Holly-wood California. They are booked to ppear at the Show Boat Hotel & Casino in October 2008.

"Bella Notte" Join Don Meritt and Annette Moreau as they celebrate their Italian heritage in an unforgettable evening of music and laugh-ter! They are 1st and 2nd generation Italian-Americans who grew up surrounded by music. You'll hear all your favorite Italian songs, both old and new, from Mala Femmina to Andrea Bocelli's "Con Te Partiro" Don and Annette have thrilled countless audiences on Broadway, in concert, and literally around the world. Television, film, nightclubs and resorts. they have done it all. Fabulous voices, wonderful songs, and lots of laughter along the way make this truly a..."Bella Notte!". Most recent performances have delighted thous-ands at: Long Island's Eisenhower Park, The Villa Roma Resort, Green lake Resort and over 25,000 at the La Festa Italiana in Omaha, NB.

The Italian Tribune Veterans Display A very special display of the 2006 Memorial Day Issue devoted to Italian and Italian-American Veterans with pictures sent in from subscribers, will be wall-displayed in the Festival Heritage Hall. Look up your friends and/or relatives. This is one of the largest issues annually and it is a fitting tribute graciously provided annually by The Italian Tribune. Subscriptions are $30/year (sign up at the Display Table) for a great weekly chronicle of “cose Italiano’. Published in English from New Jersey, it reaches almost 100,000 here and even abroad. Former Cong-ressman A.J. “Buddy” Fortunato is Publisher and Joan Alagna, is Managing Editor. The paper is expanding its content, readership and advertising throughout Delaware Valley after years of heavy concentration in the NYC metropolitan area. The project, begun recently, is led by Joe De Felice of Burlington Township, NJ who will man the MCIAF display. If you are here…you should subscribe. Samples of the paper will be available, including the 2008 Veterans Memorial Issue.

October is OUR Time to Shine The Mercer County Italian-American Festival is followed immediately by Our chance (yes.. all of us) during October – Italian-American Heritage Month as declared by New Jersey and the President of the USA. If you don’t show your pride then, when will you??? Pass along your Pride and show non-Italians some examples of how Italians and Italian-Americans are so much more than Pizza, Pasta and Pests (as in The Sopranos and Godfather impressions). We are so much more as can be seen in our Festival Heritage Pavillion. We have much to be proud of and MCIAFA exists to show and grow that. See the enclosed Flyer of October Events, which include a parade, a Gala, a flag-raising and more…. ………… Participate.!!!

MCIAFA Cultural Events for 2008 – 2009 The renovation of the second floor hall of the Heritage Building has created a beautiful space for holding a series of cultural events dedicated to honoring our Italian heritage and enhancing our appreciation of what makes Italians so special. Our desire is to hold bi-weekly events covering a variety of subjects, starting in October. The intent of this initiative is to provide a venue for the Italian-American community to gather, celebrate, participate in and enjoy the camaraderie that comes from shared experiences and memories. We are open to suggestions from our members on specific subjects or on programs. Events will be free to everyone, with only a voluntary donation expected to defray the cost of operation and refreshments. For some special events, a small fee may be charged. In supporting these cultural events, our members and friends have the opportunity to make contributions toward future programs that respond to the cultural

interests of the Italian American community. The Planning Committee for Cultural Events, composed of Frank Gargione, Pat Maffei, Carl Di Donato and Joe De Felice, is seeking volunteers to join the committee to assist in suggesting, planning, and hosting events. Please call 609 631 7544 to offer your services or suggestions. The Committee has planned (so far) a varied series of programs/ presentations as follows:

• Neapolitan Serenade on October 16, 2008 • Baking Cookies/Biscotti for the Holidays • Cheese-making at Home • Recordings of the Great Enrico Caruso • Italy in Space • Bella Italia – a Travelogue • Showing of “Life is Beautiful” in Italian • Presentations on prominent Italians and Italian-
