Step 3: Water Rates for Livonia

1 US gallon = 0.133680556 cubic feet

How many gallons in a bathtub? The standard size of a bathtub is about 60 inches x 30 inches by 15

inches. This size of bathtub will hold roughly 117 US gallons. The amount of water a bathtub will hold depends upon the size of the

bathtub. A standard size bathtub (5 feet long x 30 inches wide) will hold approximately 50 gallons of water.

About 300 gallons to fill a standard bathtub.<><><>Then you have a VERY big bathtub. Capacity of a standard tub is about 42 US gallons.

That depends a great deal on the type and size of tub as well as on how deep you fill it. Most people are not going to fill the tub up as much for small children as they will for an adult and a really big and fat person cannot put as much water into the tub as a short, skinny person (unless they want the tub to overflow).

Typical bathtubs used in the USA can hold 40 to 60 gallons of water - but if you fill them to the top you will overflow the water when you get in.

Step 4: Additional Question

How long of a shower can you take to equal the cost of a bath?
