Welcome Rotarians! The District Governors-Elect of Rotary Districts 6040, 6060 and

6080, Ralph Cupelli, Brigitte Svea Bollerslev and Steve Dulle and the Show Me Rotary Leadership Institute Council welcome you to the 37th Annual Show Me Rotary Leadership Institute.

During Show Me Rotary you will hear dynamic speakers, learn about Rotary, receive top-notch training and network with fellow Rotarian leaders from around the state.

You will also learn more about the 2015-2016 theme “Be a Gift to the World” recently announced by Rotary International President -Elect K.R. “Ravi” Ravindran. He urges Rotarians around the world to give the gifts of time, talent, and knowledge to improve lives in communities across the globe. RIPE Ravi said, “Through Rotary, we can take these gifts and make a genuine difference in the lives of others and in our world.”

Show Me Rotary Leadership Institute has a rich history that has proven to inspire, inform and prepare you to serve your Club as President or Secretary.

This printed program is your guide to navigating all the exciting events this weekend. Training has been separated into two sections: President-Elect (PE) and Secretary (SE). President-Elect is further broken down into group assignments so that you will be paired with clubs that are similar in size to yours.

The PE schedule is designated with a stripe at the top of the page. The Secretary schedule is designated with a stripe on the bottom of the page. Both PEs and Secretaries come together for District Meetings where you will hear about the 2015-2016 goals and objectives from your District Governor.

We have dynamic speakers lined up for you including Anne Matthews, John Capps and our banquet keynote RIPE K. R. “Ravi” Ravindran. In addition, several Rotarians are attending Show Me Rotary as resources for you. They include: RID Larry Lunsford, RIDE Karen Wentz, Todd Lindley, David Robinette, Sally Bibb, Darwin Sampedro and Tom Martin.

Again, welcome to Show Me Rotary!

John T. CappsPast District Governor7730 North Carolina

John T. became a “Rotarian” when a Rotary Youth Leadership Award Delegate asked, “Will you teach me how to tie a tie?” And again

several years later after ten trips to south India for Polio Immunization and Polio Hospital visits. And with arms and legs about the size of one’s index and forefinger would greet us with his penetrating eyes, arms outstretched to be touched, smiling and saying, “I knew you would Uncle John, thank you for returning to our Polio Hospital.”
