My Appropriate Images

It is key that I produce appropriate images for my magazine. My images have to correctly match the genre and overall themes of my magazine. Appropriate images need to be clear, creative, variety of shot types, poses and props to be used. The slide previous shows examples of images I will be using through out the three sections of my media product.

All of my images are appropriate based on several reasons. The artists look different on each photo. I made sure I changed the variety of clothing, locations, poses and camera shots. This enables my images to become more creative and match my magazine appropriately. I used a variety of locations instead of basing the artists in one place. It gives the audience readers a further insight into my artists, their area, their fashion and style. The clothing again is important in expressing the artists personalities and also matching the themes of my magazine. E.g. The colours, reds, blues, whites, blacks etc. My images are all clear, with a good lighting to show my artists expressions and their stance.

Overall these images with match my magazine accordingly, although further manipulation to edit my images may be taken into consideration. This may include removing red eye, changing the colours and vibrance, removing the backgrounds etc.

Inappropriate Images

If the images are unclear, blurry and of poor quality they would not be suitable for my overall media product. The images in the slide previous are examples of images that I have taken and were not of the quality that would be able to be used in my magazine.

The images show how my artists are not focuses, e.g. They are laughing or moving which has caused the image to become blurry and unclear. These would not look like professional images if I were to use the inappropriate shots.

Other factors include the lighting. In some pictures the natural light does not enhance my artists therefore the image looks too grainy and bright.

Also the position of some of my images are not the correct shot types for my magazine. E.g. Some are close up’s that do not provide the correct image quality. These images would need a lot of manipulation something that would take too long therefore other shots would need to be taken that do not need much manipulation.

Overall this justifies why I will only be using certain types of images and they have to be appropriate for my magazine. Therefore I have chose the images I will be using throughout the sections of my media product and also the images I will not be using.
