Prem Kumar KhoslaVice Chancellor

An internationally renowned academician,

with post-doctorate in genetics from Oxford

University, UK, Prof Khosla has added new

dimensions to Life Science education in Indian

universities. He has served as Vice-Chancellor,

HPAU, Palampur (HP) and as Senior Advisor to

the Government of Himachal Pradesh and has

been responsible for guiding its biotechnology

policy.

Dr Anuradha Sourirajan, Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences and

Biotechnology; PhD in Biochemistry from Indian Institute of Science

(IISc), Bangalore; Postdoctoral fellowship from National Cancer Institute

(NCI), National Institutes of Health, USA. She has over 18 publications in

peer-reviewed journals and jointly filed 3 patents out of her research

outputs. Her research interests include yeast meiosis, cell cycle kinases,

biology and salt stress control using halphites.

Dr Deepak Pathania, Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences; is a distinguish

chemist with over 17 years of research and teaching experience He is the

founder President of Him Science Congress Association, the first scientific

society of Himachal Pradesh. He has authored seven books and

published 100 research papers and has 5 patents which have received

over 900 citations. His area of research includes polymer based

composites, drug delivery, nanocomposite ion exchangers, graft

copolymerization, environmental chemistry, photocatalysis etc.

Dr Neeraj Mahindroo, Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences is

alumnus of Panjab University, Chandigarh. He pursued his postdoctoral

training in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology at NHRI, Taiwan and

St Jude Children Research Hospital, Memphis USA. He has published 23

papers and has 6 patents which have received over 700 citations (h

index=14).

Dr Shalini Sharma, Director, Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and

Business Management, Solan; PhD, PGDNB; Specializes in Genetic

engineering, Molecular biology and Tissue culture. Worked on molecular
