Oil-Filled Shocks

Shocks and springs are part of thesuspension in RC vehicles. Oil-filledshocks give RC vehicles more stabilityover rough terrain. Without the oil theshocks compress and rebound too quicklyand fail to absorb or dampen the bumpsin the road. When you feel that yourshock absorbers aren't performingproperly you can check the fluid level andadd more oil to the shocks.

Shock oil comes in different weights suchas 40, 70, or 100. Ask your hobby shopsales associate for recommendationsbased on your car/truck and theconditions under which you run it.Changing the weight of the oil changesthe damping rate -- the compression ofthe shock -- so that you can finetune it fordifferent road or track conditions.
