2. Served as a bioenergy project consultant for the Energy Research and Development Institute (EDRI) at Chiang Mai University, Thailand and taught a short course to the graduate students and project engineers in summer, 2008.

3. Establishment of technical collaboration between Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at ISU, and Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt , in design and construction of septic tank system for wastewater treatment in rural Egypt, with support from the US Department of Agriculture under US-Egypt Technical Co-operation (2004-2006).

4. Establishment of technical collaboration between Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering at ISU, and Hacettepe University, Ankara Turkey, in developing anaerobic membrane bioreactor for treating low strength wastewater, with support from National Science Foundation (NSF) under US-Turkey International Co-operation (2004-2006).

5. Development of research collaboration and faculty exchange program between Environmental Engineering Division, Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at ISU and Department of Safety, Health and Environmental Engineering at National Kaohsiung First University of Science & Technology, Taiwan (MOU signed on August 21, 2003).
