3-Speed Installations The 1968-69 Firebird Powerglide (2-speed) shifter can be used with the TH350 or TH400 (3-speed) transmission without modification. The only difference in the factory shifter detent is an additional hard stop for 2nd gear, not present with the 2-speed detent. This stop is unnecessary.

The Kugel Komponents Kit connects the column or floor shifter to most GM transmissions. It also allows for gear pointer alignment. A splined adapter button allows the arm to be positioned at any angle. A slot positions to pivot joint for longer or shorter sweep and pointer alignment.
