IMPORTANT NOTES FOR CLUB SECRETARIES AND ADMINISTRATORS

1 Correspondence:

Attend to all correspondence within the appropriate time period. You should pay particular attention to correspondence relating to: match directions for Referees and opponents, results sheets, fines and appeals.

2 Change of Secretary:

In the event of a change of Secretary of your Club, make certain the League Secretary is informed, the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA and the appropriate Recreation Department (where one of their pitches is used by your Club).

3 Attendance at Meetings: Make sure your Club is ALWAYS represented as this is where all the business of the League is conducted. It is essential you attend.

4 Player Eligibility:

Ensure all your players are registered with both the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA and the League Registrar. Players must be under 18 years of age on the 31 August of the new season. Make sure the player is not registered with any another club, or under suspension on a match day and that they are non - contract players and not receiving any payment for playing. An unlimited number of players can be registered.

Note: The last day for player registration is 31st January 2016. Clubs wishing to sign players after this date must contact the League Registrar, Rob Hodgett or the League Secretary, Denise Hicks in his absence. Consideration will be given to all requests to sign players after the

31st January 2016 but is not guaranteed. If permission is granted for a club to sign a player a form will be issued which states that permission has been granted for the player to be signed. It is important that this additional form is sent to the County FA with the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA registration form for the registration to be processed. If this form is not received by the County FA then the registration will not be processed by the County FA. This additional form can’t be downloaded from the League or County FA website and can only be issued by the League Registrar.

5 Kick Off Times:

Are as agreed at the AGM – between 10am and 2pm on Sundays

The Referee Secretary must be informed of your regular kick off time prior to the season commencing and any changes asap. If there is a disagreement regarding kick off times then the League committee will set the time.

The League is sanctioned to play on Sundays only and before any midweek fixtures can be played then permission must be granted by the County FA. If you wish to play a midweek fixture other than those already set in the fixtures please email the League Secretary, Denise Hicks, [email protected] with details of the fixture. Permission will then by sought from the County FA and Clubs informed when permission granted. The fixture will not be displayed on FA Fulltime until permission has been granted.

6 Prior to the Match taking place:


Home Team must notify opposition and referee in writing or by email details of the fixture including kick off time, ground directions, changing facilities, club colours and where to park cars at least six days prior to the fixture. Make sure there will not be a colour clash. Details of team strips are included in the Handbook. Any changes must be notified at once to the opposition Club. Any permanent changes must be in writing/email to the Secretary, to be put on the website and announced at the League Meeting. Ensure the shirts are numbered. It is against FA rules for players names to be on shirts

7 Match Day - Before Kick Off: (a) Ensure goal nets are put up and there are corner flags. (b) Introduce yourself to the Referee as soon as possible. Offer to pay their fee (£22.00 plus expenses of 35p per mile) before the game. Provide the Referee with a correctly inflated match ball and a spare, well before kick -off. (c) Hand Referee and the opposition a Team Sheet. (d) If requested by the Referee, ensure that there will be someone to assist with running the line. (e) First Aid kit must be available at all games

Match Day - After the Match: Fill in your Result Sheet on FA Fulltime. Match details must be completed within 3 days of the fixture being played. Make sure you fill in the form correctly.

Enter results onto FA Fulltime using either online or via SMS service. Team Sheets: - Shirt Numbers must correspond with Sheets on team sheets exchanged with opposition and referee prior to match commencing. Both Home and Away Clubs must fill in all sections of match details- a fine will be incurred for failing to do this. The above details are to be completed within the time scale stated above - a fine will be incurred if late. A Fair Play Award will be made at the end of the season, to the Club in each Division with the highest sporting points.

8 Postponed/Abandoned Matches: Notify immediately by email the Fixtures and Referee Secretaries. Postponement request forms must be completed to request permission to postpone a fixture and sent to the League Secretary. If the postponement is the same day or day before, telephone the Referees Secretary, Secretary of the opposing Club, the Referee (and Referee’s Assistants if appropriate)

9 Cup Matches: Cup matches take precedence over League Fixtures. Fill in Result Sheet as usual. Players must be registered 7 days prior a cup match. Players can’t be registered on the day of a cup match.

FINES FOR RULE/PROCEDURE INFRINGEMENTS

Clubs will be subject to fines if the League Rules and Procedures are not followed, EXAMPLES of such infringements are:

1 Non - attendance of a Club Representative at a League meeting.

2 Non fulfilment of fixtures.

3 Home Teams failing to notify by email at least six days prior to

the fixture to both opponents and referee details of kick off time, ground directions, changing facilities, club colours and where to park cars.

4 Late kick-off on match days.

5 Late submission or incorrect completion of match Result Sheets.

6 Lack of match facilities:

E.g. Corner flags, numbered shirts, suitable match balls

.

7 As observed by a League Committee Member or drawn to the League’s attention by a match official.

8 Failure to report results by 5pm or on the same evening of a

midweek fixture

9 Clubs must adhere to the following procedure:

NB See underlined section regarding types of footwear allowed on our ATP Pitch Moulded Firm Ground / Rubber soled Boots or Trainers only; no one is allowed to play in metal or long plastic studs. From M1 Leave the Motorway at Junction 33, and follow signs for Sheffield Centre (Sheffield Parkway) Leave the Parkway at the 3rd exit, signposted A57 and Ring Road (A6102). At the roundabout at the top of the slip road, go straight on (Ring Road A6102), at next roundabout turn left onto Prince of Wales Road (A6102) Follow the dual carriageway to the next major junction (Manor Top) continuing straight on to Ridgeway Road (A6102) and continue at next major junction (Gleadless Town End) as the A6102 becomes Norton Avenue and after the next roundabout continue on as it becomes Bochum Parkway. Straight on at next roundabout (passing Graves Tennis and Leisure Centre on the left) to the next roundabout, turning left onto the A61 to Chesterfield. At next roundabout take the 2nd exit (B6057) to Dronfield. Drop down the hill and turn right at the Traffic lights at the Coach & Horses Pub. Continue on this road (B6056), up the hill (Stubley Hollow) to join Stubley Lane, go over 1/2 speed bumps. Stubley Drive is now on the left follow this road through the new housing development baring left taking the 2nd right to the end of the houses then through large green gates to the car parking area. Please park in a designated parking spot please request your other parents/drivers to do same parking will be limited and maximum use of parking spots is essential. Please enter the club house and see the information screen as to your changing room and pitch. From Sheffield City Centre Follow signs for Chesterfield (A61). Follow instructions above from Roundabout taking 2nd exit (B6057) to Dronfield. Enter the A630 Sheffield Parkway and take the exit – just past the 50mph speed restriction with Asda to the left – then follow the B6102 Ring Road signs. Continue down Gleadless Common and you will see a grassed area to the right. Football pitch One is beyond the grassed area. From M1 motorway Junction 34 - Southbound

Enter the Tinsley Viaduct Underpass to the roundabout and take the fourth exit – one after the slip road to rejoin the M1 – onto the A631 Shepcote Lane. Travel the length of this road to the traffic lights and turn left onto the A6102 Greenland Road – signposted Ring Road / Worksop / Chesterfield. Continue along this road – following the signs for ‘Manor’. You will then go onto Prince of Wales Road and over a roundabout with the Sheffield Parkway beneath you, travelling towards ‘Manor Top’. A Code of Conduct for Football

Football is the national game. All those involved with the game at every level and whether as a player, match official, coach, owner or administrator, have a responsibility, above and beyond compliance with the law, to act accordingly to the highest standards of integrity, and to ensure that the reputation of the game is, and remains high. The code applies to all those involved in football under the auspices of The Football Association.

Community Football at all levels is a vital part of a community. Football will take into account community feeling when making decisions.

Equality Football is opposed to discrimination of any form and will promote measures to prevent it, in whatever form, from being expressed.

Participants Football recognises the sense of ownership felt by those who participate at all levels of the game. This includes those who play, those who coach or help in any way and those who officiate, as well as administrators and supporters. Football is committed to appropriate consultations.

Young People Football acknowledges the extent of its influence over young people and pledges to set a positive example.

Propriety Football acknowledges that public confidence demands the highest standards of financial and administrative behaviour within the game and will not tolerate corruption or improper practices.

Trust and Respect Football will uphold a relationship of trust and respect between all involved in the game, whether they are individuals, clubs or other organisations.

Violence Football rejects the use of violence of any nature by anyone involved in the game.

Fairness Football is committed to fairness in its dealings with all involved in the game.

Integrity and Fair Play Football is committed to the principle of playing to win consistent with Fair Play.

When playingfootball, I will:

• Always play to the best of my ability

and for the benefit of my team

• Play fairly – I won’t cheat, dive, complain

• Be gracious in victory and defeat – I will shake

hands with the other team and referee before

or at the end of the game

• Be dropped or substituted

• Be suspended from training

• Be required to leave the club

• My club, may make my parent or carer aware

of any infringements of the Code of Conduct

• The FA/County FAcould impose a fine

and suspension against my club




Spectators and parents/carers

We all bear a collective responsibility to set a good

example and help provide a positive environment

in which children can learn and enjoy the game.

Play your part and observe The FA’s Respect Code

of Conduct for spectators at all times

• Remember that children play for FUN.

• Applaud effort and good play as well as success.

• Respect the Referee’s decisions even when you don’t

agree with them

• Appreciate good play from whatever team it comes from

• Remain behind the touchline and within the Designated

Spectators’ Area (where provided)

• Letthe coaches do theirjoband not confusethe players

bytellingthemwhatto do

• Encourage the players to respect the opposition, referee

and match official

• Support positively. When players make a mistake offer

them encouragement not criticism

• Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting, or

abusive language or behaviour

Match Officials

behaviour in the game.

The behaviour of the match official has an impact,

directly and indirectly, on the conduct of everyone

involved in the game – both on the pitch and on the

sidelines.

Play your part and observe The FA’s Respect Code of

Conduct of match official atall time.

Iwill:

• Be honest and completely impartial at all times

• Apply the Laws of the Game and competition rules fairly

and consistently

• Manage the game in a positive, calm and

confident manner

• Deal with all instances of violence, aggression,

unsporting behaviour, foul play and other misconduct

• Never tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language

or behaviour from players and team officials

• Support my match officials colleagues at all times
