The information and suggested content is easy to use. Simply copy and paste any materials that you like into your email program, social media accounts, and more! Quickly and efficiently spread the word to help drive awareness and donations to your organization throughout the program.

As you review the following pages and get familiar with our 4-step process (Educate, Communicate, Motivate and Celebrate), please remember these three suggestions:

You can easily copy and paste (right click, then select copy/paste) any of the provided materials for your organization. Customize the language to fit your needs, or feel free to create your own message!

Welcome to the Shaw's Giving Tag Marketing Toolkit! The information and assets provided in this toolkit can be used to support your efforts in raising donations and awareness all year long for your organization in the Shaw's Giving Tag Program.

To bring you success in the Shaw's Giving Tag Program, we have laid out a four step process:Educate, Communicate, Motivate and, finally, Celebrate!

GIVING TAG 101

The Bag The Tag

Each month, leadership at every Shaw's location chooses a non-profit to benefit from the GIVE BACK WHERE ITCOUNTS Bag. Any donation that is not otherwise directed by the Giving Tag will be sent to this "default" non-profit. You have not been chosen as the default non-profit at this time, but if you are you will be notified 30 days in advance.

When a shopper purchases a $2.50 GIVE

BACK WHERE IT COUNTS

Bag at any Shaw's store,the shopper can now select your

organization as the recipient of a $1

donation by following the instructions on the Giving Tag attached to

the bag. This opportunity is available 365 days a year. All you need to do is use

this toolkit to spread the word!

A B O U T T H E P R O G R A MThe Giving Tag is a year long fundraising opportunity to drive donations.

With the Giving Tag, shoppers can support the community they call home by directing their $1 donation generated from the purchase of the $2.50 GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag to the non- profit of their choice.

Shoppers can simply follow the instructions on the back of the Giving Tag to select the non-profit they would like to support!

H O W I T W O R K SUpon purchasing the GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag with the Giving Tag at any Shaw's, shoppers are directed to:

1. Visit ShawsMyGiveBack.com within 7 days of their purchase.

2. Remove the scratch-off layer on the Giving Tag to reveal the unique identifier.

3. Submit their identifier and select the non-profit they would like to receive a $1 donation - now including you!

If the donation is not directed within 7 days of purchase, the donation will be sent to the GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag Programbeneficiary - the monthly featured non-profit selected by store leadership at the store where you purchased the bag.

What is the Giving Tag? It is a tool to help raise donations all

year long. You can raise donations at any Shaw's location through the Giving Tag.

Donation checks are mailed quarterly, so it is a great opportunity to raise funds

throughout the year!

What is the difference between the GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag Program and the Giving Tag Program?

The Giving Tag Program is an ongoing opportunity for non- profits to raise funds at any time throughout the

year. Supporters can go to any Shaw's, buy the GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag and follow the

instructions on the Giving Tag to direct a $1 donation to an organization of their choice. The GIVE BACK

WHERE IT COUNTS Bag Program is an opportunity for non-profits who are selected on a monthly basis at

every Shaw's location. The selected non-profit in the GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag Program is the

"default beneficiary" who will receive any donations that are not otherwise

directed by the Giving Tag.

Where do I find the Giving Tag?

The Giving Tag is affixed to the reusable GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag. GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bags can be

found on the designated reusable bag rack and at various

registers.

Non-profits participating in the Giving Tag Program who earn$5 or more at any point will be sent their donation

checks approximately 10-12 weeks after the close of the month in which the funds reaching or surpassing $5

were raised. Giving Tag Program beneficiaries who earn

less than $5 throughout the year will be sent a donation check with any remaining balance

in our account at the end of the year.
