The Leprechaun Hunt was the best and biggest ever!! There was a friendly attitude among all of the people attending. Sharing Meadows is indeed a very peaceful place created by God. The people attending were also very respectful of the property. I am very proud of the work of our stewards and villagers taking care of the garbage. And what about all those volunteers who, incidentally, also paid the entrance fee. The volunteers worked hard but enjoyed being part of a wonderful event. There were many people who came. Grandchildren who set a goal of having 15 sno cones – they are free you know. There were some deaf people that I worked with 20 or more years ago. There was joy on their faces and that made me very happy! I’ve never seen so many very young babies there. There was one baby who was only a week old! I’m assured that when the old timers can’t make it, there are lots of youngsters. And the tents – people brought their own tents – about 25 of them. The food was again outstanding! We did run out of wine but that was a mistake because I forgot to tell the bartenders that there was more. And the music was grand! The dance floor was so crowded, it will probably need to be expanded. The hay wagons did a fine job of giving tours of our grounds. For many people it was their first hay ride. God bless all those wonderful drivers! The Leprechaun Hunt was a lot of work. But the sincere thank yous from many people and the realization that this community is a peaceful, loving place, makes all the work worthwhile. Sharing Meadows, with its villagers, is truly an inspiring place to live. SHARE FOUNDATION WITH THE HANDICAPPED P.O. The Leprechaun Hunt was the best and biggest ever!!

There was a friendly attitude among all of the people attending. Sharing Meadows isindeed a very peaceful place created by God. The people attending were also veryrespectful of the property. I am very proud of the work of our stewards and villagerstaking care of the garbage. And what about all those volunteers who, incidentally, alsopaid the entrance fee. There were some deaf people that Iworked with 20 or more years ago. There was joy on their faces and that made me veryhappy!

I’ve never seen so many very young babies there. There was one baby who was onlya week old! I’m assured that when the old timers can’t make it, there are lots ofyoungsters. And the tents – people brought their own tents – about 25 of them.

When we were looking for property to purchase that would eventually become the community of Sharing Meadows,we seriously considered land in two other locations. For different reasons, we were not able to buy either of the firsttwo parcels of land. While we were disappointed, we were not discouraged and kept looking until we found the perfectsetting for our community here in Rolling Prairie. Since we first made the purchase back in 1991, we knew it was theright place for our residential program and for our camp and we have been happy with the land, secure in theknowledge that we made the right decision.

Not only is the land ideal for our loving, peaceful community, but the people of Rolling Prairie have welcomed us withopen arms and made us feel at home. We have enjoyed getting acquainted and many have become treasured friends. It’s good to go into local businesses where we know the owners and employees and they know us and consider SharingMeadows a valuable asset in the town. Recently we were honored when a local business, Little Tavern Too, held afundraiser to benefit Share Foundation.

They called it a brewfest and it was a lively evening of music, food, beverages and camaraderie. Lora, Brittany andRachelle worked hard making all the arrangements and their efforts were enjoyed by all of their guests and certainlyappreciated by Share Foundation since a nice sum of money was raised for the residential program at SharingMeadows. Best of all, these wonderful ladies are already planning the 2nd annual event for next year!

We are grateful to the good people from Little Tavern Too for their dedication to our mission. It might be a smallbusiness in a small town but their hearts are big to hold all their love. We may have come to Rolling Prairie as strangersbut we have become part of the family and we know that it was God’s plan for us to be here.

You are cordially inViteD to ...Enjoy an elegant evening of cocktails, a delicious dinner with wines, dessert, the sounds of Tom Milo’s Big Band witha dance floor in addition to both a live and a silent auction at the Share Our Dreams Gala. MeMoRialsMemorials are a special way to honor

the memory of a loved one or celebrate aspecial occasion for ourselves, our family,or our friends. We are grateful for allmemorial donations, large and small, thatare received but we want to remind youthat our policy is that thank you letters andacknowledgement cards are not sent forany memorials received that are less than$10.00 per name. They will be printed inthe GOOD NEWS but no cards or letterswill be sent. Due to the increasing cost ofpaper, postage and time to send cards andletters, it is not good stewardship to spendthe donations you have entrusted to us tofill mailboxes with mail.

Memorial donations of $10.00 or moreper name will continue to be handled witha thank you letter, acknowledgement tofamily and listing in the newsletter. If youdo not require a thank you letter, pleasemark the envelope so that we can codeyour account and we can save the cost of aletter and use the funds for our programsfor other abled people. Thank you for yourunderstanding!
