Programming New Remote

Remove the light cover then remove the coloured plastic rectangular strip located underneath. This will reveal a Red “Learn/Delete” button.

Remove the coloured plastic rectangular strip located next to the Merlin label on the front of the motor. This will reveal a Red “Learn/Delete” button.

Push “Learn/Delete” button for 2 seconds – the lamp will blink continuously to alert you that it is in Learn Mode.

Push the big button on your remote for 2 seconds.

Push the small button on your remote for 2 seconds. Minimum of 1 second is required between each action. Your remote will now operate with your motor.

Delete All Remotes(Clear Lost Remotes)

Push “Learn/Delete” button on the receiver board (garage door motor) for 11 seconds. Light will blink for a period and then switch off.

Program New/Existing remotes as above.

Tech TipsThis method applies to the following Toyota/Lexus vehicles:

LOSt KEYS: (tRANSPONDER PROGRAmmiNG)

Turn on the XTOOL and plug into the OBDII port, Then press the Start Button (You should get a message on the cluster that says “key is not detected”.)

Launch the X-100 PAD 2 Application and select LEXUS/TOYOTA in the immobilization area.

Select > Smart key system > Prox 3 >

Select > Reset Smart key Ecu > Reset smart key Ecu

You will now see a prompt to warn you that the Driver’s door should be Open during the rest of the procedure. Select ‘YES’ once you have opened the door.

The X-TOOL will now proceed to Reset the smart key system, the procedure will take 16 minutes. During this time you will notice the security light will be out until the reset is complete. When the security light starts to Flash, the procedure has finished and you will see a message on the X-TOOL saying “Reset complete” > click OK

Select > Program smart key after resetting > Hold the emblem side of the Smart key up to the Start button. If the correct smart key has been used you will hear an audible beep to confirm the smart key is programmed.

Check the remote keyless entry operation by pressing Lock-unlock etc.

Start the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal and pressing the Start button.

(On some hybrid vehicles it may also be necessary to press the accelerator pedal to start the vehicle)
