Fabric A: Machines – Multi • Cut two 8 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into one 8 ½” square and four 8 ½” x 10 ½” strips.

Fabric B: Pins – Blue • Cut two 8 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut into one 8 ½” square and four 8 ½” x 10 ½” strips

Fabric C: Rulers – Multi • Cut one 8” x WOF strip. Sub-cut into one 6 ½” square and four 6 ½” x 8” strips

Fabric D: Buttons – Coral • Cut one 8” x WOF strip. Sub-cut into one 6 ½” square and four 6 ½” x 8” strips

Fabric E: Blocks – Coral • Cut one 4½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut into one 4 ½” square and four 4 ½” x 5 ½” strips

Fabric F: Stitches – Coral • Cut one 4½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut into one 4 ½” square and four 4 ½” x 5 ½” strips

Measure and mark ¼” away from each corner on the 8 ½” Fabric A square and the bottom two corners of each 8 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric A rectangle (Fig. 1). Repeat with all the remaining fabric pieces.

Press fusible fleece to the wrong side of the Fabric A pieces matching the sizes. Repeat with theFabric C and Fabric E pieces.

Sew one 8 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric A strip to the top and bottom of the 8 ½” square, starting and stopping on the ¼” marks. Sew one 8 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric A strip to each side of the 8 ½” square to make the outer basket unit (Fig. 2).

Fold up two side panels on the outer basket unit, right sides together, starting at the bottom ¼” mark to sew the two sides together. Repeat with each set of sides to form the basket (Fig. 3).

Repeat Steps 3-4 with one 8 ½” Fabric B square and four 8 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric B strips to form the lining. Make sure to leave an opening in one of the side seams to use for turning later (Fig. 4).

Slide the lining over the outer basket, right sides together, align the raw edges at the top and pin together. Sew around the top edge. Turn the basket, right side out through the opening in the lining (Fig. 5).

Stitch the opening closed and push the lining into the basket. Press and top stitch around the top edge. Fold the top edge of the basket over 2” and press to complete the 8” basket (Fig. 6).

Repeat Steps 3-7 with one 6 ½” Fabric C square, four 6 ½” x 8 ” Fabric C strips, one 6 ½” Fabric D square and four 6 ½” x 8” Fabric D strips to make the medium basket. When complete, fold the top edge down 1 ½” instead of 2”.

Repeat Steps 3-7 with one 4 ½” Fabric E square, four 4 ½” x 5 ½” Fabric E strips, one 4 ½” Fabric F square and four 4 ½” x 5 ½” Fabric F strips to make the small basket. When complete, fold the top edge down 1” instead of 2”.
