Setting goals

For you to set fitness goals, first you need to decide what you want to achieve. One example is you want bigger muscles; exercise and lift weights once a day could be a fitness goal. To lose a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time is another example of a fitness goal.

Target heart rate

A specific age-based pulse rate to be

maintained during aerobic exercise to ensure

optimal cardiovascular function

For our age we should get at least 139-164 beats per

minute.

Goals and rewards

Setting fitness goals can be very rewarding because it makes you feel so good about yourself. If at the end of the week you see that you lost two pounds it would be so rewarding or like the picture to the side, don’t you think she feels so good about herself?

Personal story

My fitness goals are to have more flexibility and become stronger. I also want to make the basketball team next year but I will have to work harder and practice a lot more. I can’t do push ups and I have been working on them and I am getting better.

ActivitiesWorking out doesn’t need to be doing work out videos or going to the gym. It can be something you want to do with your friends. Like playing basketball or volleyball or football or baseball, these are some of my favorite sports to play and they are so fun to do with family and friends.

What our weight should be.

We should all have a healthy weight so if you are under your weight limit just a tiny it’s not bad. If you are over a tiny bit it’s probably not that bad. But if you are over a lot or under a lot it’s probably not that good.Studies show that between 15 and 30 percent of children in America are now overweight. Since the 1960s, we have seen a 39% increase among teens (ages 12-17), and a shocking 98% increase in severe obesity among children ages 6 to 11. Obese children ages 10-13 are 10 times more likely to become obese adults than their non-obese peers.

PLAY 60!!!!!We should get at least 60 min. of physical activity

every day. That should be a fitness goal we all have so my challenge to you is to get 60 min. every day. If you start watching T.V.

or start playing video games think what

physical activity could I be doing right now

instead of this!!!!!!!!!
