Knowing JECRC Foundation
The National Society for Education Research and Development (NSERD)
was set up and registered in the year 1999 in Jaipur with the main
objective of providing quality professional education and research
environment in Rajasthan. It established its first college, Jaipur
Engineering College & Research Centre (JECRC) in Jaipur in the year
2000. Encouraged by its splendid achievements and overwhelming public
patronage, it ventured into establishing a second college, UDML College
of Engineering (which is now known as JECRC UDML College of
Engineering) in the year 2007. The first year intake in these colleges in the
B.Tech. programs, as approved by the All India Council for Technical
Education / RTU, for the year 2014-15 are 990 and 540 respectively in
addition to admissions in other categories like TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver
Scheme), KM (Kashmiri Migrants) and lateral entry. These institutions have
become the most sought-after institutions for admissions as evidenced by
the RPET & AIEEE /JEE admission pattern.
The JECRC Foundation has now become a brand name in professional
education in Rajasthan. The Promoters and the Society are now generally
referred to as JECRC Foundation.
The Foundation has got another sparkling feather in its cap in the form of
the JECRC University. It was established in the year 2012 and is
conducting Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral programs in

Mechanical EngineeringMechanical Engineering deals with anything that moves
including the human body which is a very complex machine.
Considered as one of the core branches of engineering, the
discipline plays a very important role in the day to day life of all
human beings. The fundamentals of mechanical engineering
education provide the students with the creative thinking that
allows them to design an exciting product or system, the
analytical tools to achieve their design goals, the ability to
overcome all constraints, and the teamwork needed to design,
produce and market a system.
Mechanical Engineering Department strives to promote
creativity, initiative and independent thinking within our student
body. Mechanical engineering plays a dominant role in
enhancing safety, economic vitality, enjoyment and overall
quality of life. Each and every branch of engineering needs the
help of mechanical engineering for the design and manufacture
of all items required by them. We know that from the design and
manufacture of the smallest pin to the airplane, space shuttle,
robots, computers, mobiles or any machine for producing any
item is done by the mechanical engineers.
Keeping this in view, all Universities imparting engineering
education essentially design the syllabuses of all disciplines so
as to teach the basics of the Mechanical Engineering as a
foundation course for every engineering student. This includes
the engineering drawing, working with the basic machines and

Civil EngineeringWhen the flight of imagination comes together with a foundation of
solid analysis, civil engineering emerges as a division of
engineering responsible for shaping cities, ports and highways. In a
way development of civil engineering mirrors the development of
human civilization. Civil engineering is a wide ranging profession,
including several separate specialized sub-disciplines. Different
facets of civil engineering are closely interlinked and require
technical as well as strong aesthetic skills. Civil engineering
comprises knowledge of structures, material science, geography,
geology, soil, hydrology, environment, mechanics and other fields.
Building more than just bricks and mortar
A civil engineer must be able to design safe structures which meet
standard codes in the regions that they are being built in. These
structures must be designed with maintenance, efficiency, and
other economic concerns in mind as well to ensure that they will
endure through years of use. A career in civil engineering is both
challenging and rewarding. The most gratifying part of being a civil
engineer is to see one's creations - be it an apartment or an
expressway, come to physical realization.
hand tools for various production/testing techniques which are
fundamentals of engineering mechanics as they play vital roles
in the domestic and working life for all of us. By learning the
fundamentals, we are able to carry on many petty jobs for which
otherwise, we may have to be dependent on some
technician/mechanic or others.
With the idea of making this area of Mechanical Engineering
education flawless at JECRC UDML and intending to create a
very strong foundation with the basics of engineering
knowledge of our budding engineers, we have set up all the
laboratories and workshops which contain state-of-the-art
machinery and equipments. We are confident that the machines
and equipment are one of the best that are available in any
engineering college of North India. We have installed all the
machines required for conducting the experiments prescribed
by the RTU and our qualified, enlightened, knowledgeable and
experienced faculty members and technicians to ensure that all
the students get the full advantage of this endeavour.

Training & PlacementThe initiatives of the Training and Placement Cell are multipronged. The
most significant role of the Cell is to build Corporate-Institute bonding and
provide a robust recruitment pedestal to students. The Cell also takes
care of the Training needs of the students to match up the employability
standards of the Industry.
Industrial TrainingEncompassing the activities of the Placement Cell, Industrial Training
Programme, which is an integral part of the Engineering course is also
initiated and coordinated by the Placement Cell. The students pursue
their training as apprentice and work on a project which is open to
presentation and discussion after they come back from the training after
the sixth semester. Senior faculty members adjudge the worth of the
content and presentation skills of the project work and only then the
students are given the certificate of accomplishment of Industrial
Training.
Moulding students-right from
beginningAt JECRC UDML College of Engineering, students are shaped and
attuned to imbibe the pre-requisites of the professional world, right
from the first semester. In-house training is emphasized upon at
every level, which picks up momentum by the time a student
reaches the sixth semester. Regular sessions are held at the
College for the development of technical skills, in all aspects of
pragmatism. Corporate etiquettes are also floated in practice for
the students to absorb as sina qua non. These efforts are made to
bridge the gaps between theory outline and application requirement
so as to build up a congenial Industry-Institute Interface.
The emphasis on Training is the linchpin of our pedagogical
methodology. The significance of Industry- Institute Interface is well
recognized by the college, which gets explicitly reflected in frequent
participation of our senior faculty members in programmes like
Infosys Campus Connect, Wipro Mission 10X, Microsoft IT
Academy etc.
Placement SuccessesThe nitty-gritties are thereafter percolated to our students. This can
well be mapped from the placement record of the college as our
alumni are placed with companies like IBM, DELL, Cognizant,
Toshiba, L&T Infotech, Infosys, TCS, Bosch, Absolutdata, Sona
Group, Nagarro, Mann India, Triveni Turbines, Daffodils, Tech
Mahindra, Taj Group and other established corporate houses. The
Placement Cell has been hosting pooled drives for providing
placement opportunities, not only to the students of our own
college but to the students of other colleges as well. We believe that
our students are our ambassadors.
