Warning:Adhere to the recommendations of cuttingspeed and working speed (too lowcutting speeds are the main reason fortooth breakage)! In order to avoid stronger vibrations,max. 33% of the cutting edges shouldremove stock during the cutting process.

IWith PFERD carbide burrs materials of almost
any strength can be machined. This is possible
thanks to the harmonisation of tooth shape,
number of teeth, spiral angle, rake angle and
true-running accuracy. The excellent concentrici-
ty of the PFERD carbide burrs
- protects the operator’s health,
- reduces wear of the machine,
- allows chatter-free work,
- prevents chatter marks.
The high accuracy of shape of the carbide burrs
allows- the use with roboters and
- multiple regrinding.
Basic principle: The harder the material,
the finer the serration.

Application:Optimal rpm and driving performance of the drive (pneumatic, electric, flexible shank) are essential for economic use. This is why we recommend:1. Use the highest rpm possible. Only in exceptional cases (e.g. in stationary machines or when countersinking with fully immersed
burr) should speeds be kept below 3.000 min-1.2. Chucks must be absolutely concentric to avoid chipping. Tool runout and chatter will result in premature wear.3. Work with significantly reduces rpm on materials of low thermal conductivity (e.g. stainless steel, titanium alloys) to prevent tool
damage and the typical blue discolouration of the shank and tool.4. In fine cutting applications (deburring, chamfering, minor surface work) the tool speed may be increased to twice the indicated
value.5. When machining soft, heavily lubricating materials liable to cause loading problems, the use of a suitable lubricant is recommen-
