Our time together was engaging, stimulating, and, we hope, informative to you. It was three days with lots of new insights that you can take back and practice on your campus. As Michael Useem wrote in the article “Why Everyone in an Enterprise Can -- and Should -- Be a Leader” , “...how, exactly, does someone... go about taking that first step toward being a leader? It simply involves an act of will. You must simply decide, ‘I’m going to step forward to make a difference.’” All of you are very busy and this follow-up note makes additional demands on your time in the weeks between now and Session 2. We urge you to take time right now and go through the next steps listed here and identify specific time on your calendar for these next seven weeks when you (and your campus cohort) will work on each assignment. In that way you will take maximum advantage of the leaders program to advance your leadership journey. And, do reach out to any of us if we can be of help to you. . . . . MOR LEADERSSESSION 1 FEBRUARY 25-27, 2014

We really enjoyed meeting and being with you last week at the University of Texas, Austin for the first 2014 MOR Leaders workshop.  Our time together was engaging, stimulating, and, we hope, informative to you.  It was three days with lots of new insights that you can take back and practice on your campus.

As Michael Useem wrote in the article “Why Everyone in an Enterprise Can -- and Should -- Be a Leader”,

“...how, exactly, does someone... go about taking that first step toward being a leader? It simply involves an act of will. You must simply decide, ‘I’m going to step forward to make a difference.’” All of you are very busy and this follow-up note makes additional demands on your time in the weeks between now and Session 2.  We urge you to take time right now and go through the next steps listed here and identify specific time on your calendar for these next seven weeks when you (and your campus cohort) will work on each assignment.  In that way you will take maximum advantage of the leaders program to advance your leadership journey. And, do reach out to any of us if we can be of help to you.
