Voice of the Martyrs Advance Conference

The Voice of the Martyrs is a ministry that shares the stories of persecuted

believers around the world. One way they do that is through Advance Conferences.

One such conference will take place at Shelbyville First Baptist Church on Saturday,

April 16th from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. You will have the opportunity to hear speakers from

India, China, Iran and a guest speaker from a restricted nation. They will share

personal stories about persecution and how they are advancing God’s kingdom on the

frontlines of ministry. If you would like to attend this conference, you can register for

We’ve only got 5 signed up for the Senior Adult

Living Celebration on Tuesday, April 19th in Elizabethtown.

We’re going no matter the numbers so we might as well fill up

a van or bus up and have a great time together. We’ll be leaving the church at 7 AM.

Breakfast and lunch are included in the $15. Larnell Harris will be the afternoon

entertainment. Be sure and sign up this week so I can get our reservations.

This special event is for our whole church family, all ages!! On the last

Wednesday of the month, April 27th we will be hosting a Spring Family Fest. The event

will begin at 6:00 p.m. We challenge our men of all ages to compete by bringing their

own pot of chili for the Men’s Chili Cook Off! We challenge our ladies of all ages to

make a cake for our Ladies Cake Bake Off and our children to enter the Cake or Cup

Cake Bake Off! We will have corn hole, board games, leggo fun and more. There be

lots of food and fellowship! Five Conversations You Must Have

With Your Daughter Holly Larrabee will be leading this study on Sunday

nights at 6:00 p.m., beginning Apr il 17th! For mothers with

girls ages zero to eighteen, “Five Conversations You Must Have

with Your Daughter” is indeed a must take study! This study, by

Vicki Courtney, looks into God's idea of true beauty which

contrasts with our culture's focus on vanity.

Calling All Men!!! The study “33 The Series” is a study for men that will be

offered at two time choices. One class will be on Sundays

at 5:30 p.m., beginning Apr il 10th and another class will

be on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and will start April 13th.

This study by Authentic Manhood is about helping men to

live lives of truth, passion and purpose. It is built around the

life that Jesus modeled in His 33 years on earth.
