Do you drink most days or every day? Do you need alcohol to unwind, socialise, or sleep? If you regularly drink more than 22 (male) or 15 (female) alcohol units per week, and/or more than 8 (male) or 6 (female) alcohol units each time you drink, you fall into the ‘Increasing Risk’ or ‘Higher Risk’ drinking categories, and are raising your chances of developing alcohol related illnesses. If you would like support to understand your drinking more, plan ways to reduce your drinking, and improve your mental and physical wellbeing, we have a free and confidential service providing one-to-one sessions with a trained practitioner who specialises in alcohol misuse. Physical Activity Directory

A quarterly timetable of free local walks.You can find a free walk to suit your ability, anything from a short walk on flat solid ground to a challenging 9 mile hill walk. Each walk is scheduled at a specific time, covers a tested route and is led by a trained walk leader. A lovely way to get more active and have the opportunity to meet new people. Health Walks

If a led walk is not your cup of tea, you can pur-chase a pack of 14 cards detailing accessible walk routes in the district along with a plastic cover to protect your route map from the elements while you are out. Please send your name and address with a cheque for £1.50 payable to Horsham District Council, to the Health Walks Co-ordinator at Horsham Dis-trict Council, Park North, North Street, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 1RL.

• The popular “Warmer Homes” service is back this winter offering free home visits by an Energy Saving Expert.

• The aim of the visit is to help people feel warmer in their homes, whilst reducing the cost of energy bills.

• The Energy Saving Expert will be able to offer practical and bespoke advice on reducing energy costs, install some free energy saving gadgets and help people understand their heating controls.

• Please note that priority will be given to residents on low income, or have health issues exacerbated by living in a cold home.
