NANAANDAWEWENIN VISION

The Nanaandawewenin Team

recognizes that the children and

families we work for are first and

foremost in all that we do. We

are bound by traditional

Anishinaabe teachings. For this

reason alone, we strive to give to

each other from the heart

because the heart is a place of

truth.

OUR SERVICE• Is not a duplication of

services provided by Family Counsellors in the 10 First Nations

• WFS Counsellors provide intensive services to children & youth (6-18 years), as well as their families, who have multiple or complex needs

• Respond to Indigenous students in the Rainy River District School boards who are at risk of suicide

• Please refer Indigenous children/youth in care, those living with their birth families, those living within a First Nation community and those who do not live within a First Nation Community

• Referral to our program requires parent/caregiver participation in counselling sessions, as this is essential to the counselling process & healing of your family

• Email Kaylee Heyens or

Bailey Langford to make referrals. Please note, that due to high demand, at times there may be a waiting period of 1-4 months for our services
