This Request for Proposal (RFP) is intended to provide a basis for selection of a Caterer. The selected Caterer shall be responsible for the delivery of breakfast, lunch and milk that comply with the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) requirements. Jesuit Cristo Rey High School of Houston d.b.a., Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston, hereby referred to as a contracting entity (CE) seeks to contract with a caterer to prepare meals under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The CE is a non-profit, private school lo-cated at 6700 Mount Carmel Street, Houston, TX 77087. It serves approximately 510 under-privileged students in grades 9-12 and requires a comprehensive food service program for the 2015-2016 school year. The Caterer must follow the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations regarding contracting for the Child Nutrition Programs. This includes adhering to the Buy American provision. The contract is dependent on state funding.

The Caterer shall provide transportation for the meals served at this location. The equip-ment available on-site includes the following: one retherm oven (which heat the meals on-site), 2 hot holding tables (6 water heating bins), one cold holding table, and milk cooler. Meals must be pre-plated, not incorporating salad bars and need to be a single person opera-tion and include utensils, disposable trays and appropriate condiments. Use of USDA foods (commodities) is encouraged, but not required.The Caterer’s program must meet new regula-tory guidelines for 2015-16..Process and Submission
