Used to lock the camshafts in the correct position prior to torqueing the cam sprockets in place during service to the chain drive and/or cylinder heads. 4919078 – Valve Spring Compressor Kit

Allows for compressing (4) valve springs simultaneously while removing and installing the valve springs. Due to become available – August 2014 Used In – ISV5 engine Tool Type – Required Tool Source – Cummins only

Significantly reduces the SRT for camshaft removal and installation by holding the camshaft sprocket in position. Without the tool the engine chain drive cover, drive chains, and related components would all need to be removed.
