Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

SharingFamily Time “Time to say Good-Bye!”
On the Sabbath of June 29th, the Clarksville Congregation finished what the York Congregation started 4 weeks ago - we said good-bye for now to our dear pastor and his wife,
David and Lisa Jackson. There was hardly a dry eye as David gave us his farewell message.
With much love he encouraged us to never give up on God’s way of life, and to remember
that it is through the challenges in your life that you grow. It was a very emotional Sabbath -
during services we enjoyed special music composed, sung and played on the guitar by José Ortega,
with voice accompaniment by Amelia McGhee. ‘The Sower’ was written specially for the Jackson’s.
After the final prayer ending services, the teenagers and pre-teens performed ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’ for them.
After potluck we had cake and champagne. David and Lisa then opened their gifts -
of which included a photo album with heartfelt notes from individual members,
as well as a digital photo album with more than 500 photos from 2011-2019
from all of Clarksville’s many activities (picnics, chili cook-offs, camps, weddings, anniversaries,
Thanksgiving and NTBMO congregational meals, etc. etc.!), a herbal medicine basket, native African clothing,
a shofar, and wine/candy. Everyone then waited patiently
for their turn to have their photos taken
with the Jacksons! It was only when
we were kicked out of the hall that we had to part ways,
realizing a new chapter will be starting for all.
It’s In The Valleys I Grow by Jane Eggleston
Sometimes life seems hard to bear,Full of sorrow, trouble, and woe.
It’s then I have to remember,That it’s in the valleys I grow.
If I always stayed on the mountain topAnd never experienced pain,
I would never appreciate God’s loveAnd would be living in vain.
I have so much to learnAnd my growth is very slow,
Sometimes I need the mountain tops,But it’s in the valleys I grow.I do not always understand
Why things happen as they do,But I am very sure of one thing.
My Lord will see me through.My little valleys are nothing
When I picture Christ on the cross.He went through the valley of death;
His victory was Satan’s loss.Forgive me Lord, for complaining
When I’m feeling so very low.Just give me a gentle reminderThat it’s in the valleys I grow.
Continue to strengthen me, LordAnd use my life each day
To share your love with othersAnd help them find their way.Thank you for valleys, LordFor this one thing I know;
The mountain tops are gloriousBut it’s in the valleys I grow!
