Your head will not refuse your crown - Pastor Samuel ObafaiyeWhen one talks about coronation especially a miraculous one; there are certain insignias thatshould be evident to that which is enthroned as a king. These are: throne, crown and a seal ofauthority (usually a ring). These are what distinguish kings from ordinary chiefs and lay men.E.g. a Yoruba adage says ‘Ade lafi moba; irukere lafi mo ijoye’. That is: crowns distinguishkings; staffs distinguish chiefs. God has told us earlier that He will make us to sit on thronesof honour from this month. Today His Spirit is admonishing us that we will not lose out on ourcrowns. It may then interest you to say that where is my crown that my head should not refuse. In I Cor6: 2-3, the bible make us to know that we have been coronated to reign as soon as we becomesaved. Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you,are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? howmuch more things that pertain to this life?We are kings and priests of God on earth (Rev. 1: 5-6). And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and theprince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his ownblood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory anddominion for ever and ever. Amen. You are therefore a king! Therefore you have a crown; you will not lose it in Jesus name. There are certain people in the scripture that God has prepared for miraculous coronation, butout of carelessness; greed or selfishness, they lost their crowns. Yours will not be like that inJesus name.Judas was a disciple of Jesus Christ and one of the 12 apostles specially chosen to reign withChrist. He was supposed to be a judge over a tribe of Israel (Luke 22: 1-6; 14; 28-30). It is veryunfortunate that he lost his crown to Mathias (Acts 1: 15-26). You will not lose your crown toanother fellow in Jesus name.Gehazi was very privileged to be a servant to Elisha who had the double portion of God’sanointing upon the life of Elijah. It was evident that Elisha ruled as a king among the prophets ofhis time; if all things been equal, Gehazi was meant to reign in a greater dimension aboveElisha, however he lost his crown because of gifts he shouldn’t have received! (2 Kings 5:20-27). I pray that covetousness will not cause you to lose your crown in Jesus mighty name.In Mt. 19: 16-26, the bible talks of  a certain young rich ruler who was destined to be a mightyking if he was only able to pay the sacrifice placed upon him by God; but alas he failed. What hedid not know is that God is not a robber. God only receives from us in order to have concretereason to bless us the more. The man cherished his riches and he lost his eternal crown. You will not suffer from misplaced emphasis in Jesus name.On the other hand, we have some people in the scripture that God had pre-destined forcoronation but whom circumstances opposed seriously for such crowns not to be worn, but withstrong determination and the grace of God they were able to secure their crowns.Modecai was destined to reign by God. However, circumstance reduced him to a gate-keeper!As if that was not enough, a privileged officer decided to end his life and his race. With fastingand prayers, God stepped into his case and he was miraculously crowned (Esther 6: 8; 8: 15).

Esther 6:8Let the royal apparel be brought which the king [useth] to wear, and the horse that the kingrideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:Esther 8:15And Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, andwith a great crown of gold, and with a garment of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushanrejoiced and was glad.No matter how circumstance and situation might have dealt with you, do not give up,demonstrate your trust in the Almighty and He will guarantee your enthronement.Bartimeus was born to be a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Someone that will reign in themillennial reign with the saints; but the power of wickedness reduced him to a blind beggar! Oneday he discovered that the Kings of kings was passing and he cried for help for his crown to berecovered. With much persistence and mercy of God, he got his crown back and became adisciple of Christ (Mk 10: 46-52). If the powers of wickedness are using any form of blindness to reduce you to anything less thana king, I pray that God will have mercy on you and cause that blindness to disappear for you toassume your kingship position in Jesus name. David was born to be a miraculous king. Even after he had been anointed as a king, it still didn’tappear that he would rule (I Sam. 16: 11-13). He was running from cave to cave and fromnation to nation to preserve his life. About 13 years after he was proclaimed a king, he began torule! Despite all the mockery, persecutions and attempts upon his life, his head did not lose hiscrown (2 Sam. 5: 4-5). David [was] thirty years old when he began to reign, [and] he reigned forty years. In Hebron hereigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and threeyears over all Israel and Judah.Could it be that you have waited for years for the manifestation of the kingly declaration of Godupon your life? Be strong like David and God will bring your coronation to come to pass in Jesusname. How not to lose your crown- Know that you will have to endure temptation; cross before crown it is said. (James 1: 12; Rev.2: 10). You will need to wear thorny crown before wearing gold crown (Mt. 27: 27-31; Phil. 2:5-11).- Be a good ambassador or example for Christ (I Pet. 5: 1-4).- Cherish your salvation and constantly confess you faith (Rev. 3: 11)- Set not your heart on earthly goodies but heavenly treasures (Gehazi; Judas; Rich youngruler)- Be conscious and not ignorant about the times e.g. Gehazi (Eccl. 3: 1; Eph. 5: 16)- Strive lawfully and fight a good fight of faith – no short cuts (2 Tim. 2: 5).- Cry to God for help and His miraculous touch e.g. Bartimeus (Mk. 10: 46-52). Prayers:Almighty Father, help me to endure all temptation that come my way so as not to lose mycrown.Almighty Father, help me to be a good ambassador of your to secure my crown.Almighty Father, help me to cherish my salvation and confess my faith in You till the end.Almighty Father, assist me not to set my heart on earthly riches, but on heavenly treasuresAlmighty Father, help me to be conscious of the times so as not to be caught unawares.
