Serie 500 er et lavsikkerhedsprodukt som kun anbefales til aflåsning af skabe, postkasser og lignende.

På grund af produktets ringe sikkerhed er det besluttet, at s-rør ikke mere monteres på 5-stift tromler til profil-cylindre. Tromler uden s-rør er Ø13 mm, hvor de gamle tromler med s-rør var Ø14,2 mm.

For at undgå forveksling mellem nye og gamle profilcylindre har de nye profilcylindre fået nye typenumre:

OverfladerProfilcylindre i Serie 500 leveres fremover i mat krom og messing cylinderhus. Alle Ø13 mm tromler er ubehandlet messing. ProfilerDer anvendes samme nøgleprofiler som i Ø14,2 mm KomponentfællesskabMedbringere, kamstykker, knoptromler og forlængningsdele er de samme typer, som til dp, Combi og Serie 600 profilcylindre.

UdskiftningNye og gamle cylindre kan indgå i samme låsesystem. Anvend skema 1.1 på side 3 til stiftning af cylindre i system.Anvend skema 1.2 på side 3 til stiftning af cylindre uden system.
