Anothersummerhasprettymuchgonebyanditistimetowelcomeyouback.Ifanyofyouwouldliketosharesomeofyourexcitingsummerpaintingexperienceswithus,pleaseletusknowsothatwecantryto"workthemintoanupcomingmeeting".IfyouhavereadtheemailRosesentoutseveralweeksago,youareawareofournexthangingopportunitywhichisattheWarwickLibraryonSandyLane.The date for you to bring pieces is Saturday, Sept. 7, 9:30-Noon. Take down is Saturday, September 28 10-Noon. ItisafreeeventandIamhopingthatmanyofyouaregoingtotakethisopportunitytoenteryourpaintings/photographs.Thatisaverywidewalltohanganditwouldbegreatifwecouldputonagoodshow.TheroomyouwillbedoingyourpaperworkiscalledtheIdeaRoom:itistheveryfirstdoorontherightonceyouenterthebuilding.Thislibraryisveryactiveandisfrequentedbylotsofpeople.Itwouldbegreattogivethemsomethingtotalkabout......isn'tthatwhatartissupposedtodo?(butnotifitisaflopYikes).Wedon'twanttobetheownerofthat.*Asyouknow,westillhavevacanciestofillinourclub"hierarchy"......pleaseletusknowifyouareableandwillingtohelpout.Thanks,Jeannine

OurpresenterfortheSeptembermeetingisSueGreco,alocalwatercolorist,illustratorandauthorof2children'spaintingbooks.Ifirstbecameawareofherworkinthechildren'ssectionoftheEGLibrarywhereshesometimeshasclassesforchildren(andadults,too).Herbooksareavailableatsomelibraries,bookstoresandupscalegiftshops.ThisisaprogramthatisunlikeanyonewehavehadsinceIjoinedtheclub.Herinstructionsaresosimpletofollowandthe

Volunteersareneededforregistrationandhanging.Wearehangingona44ft.widewallwhichdoesn'thaveahangingrodsystem(so,wewillbebangingnailsintowalls).Wehavealotofspaceandthereisanotherwallacrossthelibrarywhichisalmostaslongifweneedmorespace.Youmaybringin4entriesbutpleasebesureyourpaintingandframeisfreshlookinganddoesn'tlooklikeitwaspainted15-20yearsago(noshopwornentries),properlywiredandframedunlessyouhaveagallery-wrappedcanvasthatis11/2inchesdeep.
Iwillcirculateasign-upsheetatthemeetingtoseeabouthowmanypaintingswewillhave.Ofcourse,youmayenterevenifyoucannotattendthemeeting.Justcontactme(Jeannine).Peoplebringinginlargestsizeneedtohangthemthemselves.Asofnow,Iamusinga130"totalinchesincludingframeasthelimit.Ifyouhavesomethinglarger,pleasecontactme.JeannineAnderson
