Kundalini is the natural presence of awareness that resides within each of us. Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajanis considered one of the most comprehensive of yogic traditions. And, for one weekend in September at Stonehouse Farm you canimmerse yourself into this sacred science through its dynamic postures, pranayam, mantra, music and meditation!

The purpose of Kundalini Yoga is transformation. It is a technology of changing and strengthening your radiance to give you anexpanded life and greater capacity. It is a technology of self-experience. You learn to heal yourself and others. And, Wahe Guru Festoffers the perfect opportunity to heal with the power of the word, chanting, mantra, meditation and sound healing with gongs, bells andsinging bowls.

In the midst of it all you may find yourself saying, ‘Wahe Guru!’ Wahe Guru* is a mantra of the Infinity of ecstasy and dwelling in theCreator. It expresses the indescribable experience of going from darkness to light; from ignorance to true understanding. Literally, itmeans, “I am in ecstasy when I experience the Indescribable Wisdom.” Wahe Guru balances the energies of the generating, organizingand transforming principles. It is the gurmantra, which also triggers your destiny.

While at Wahe Guru Fest don’t be surprised if you hear a yogi exclaim ‘Wahe Guru’ when something goes amazingly right! And,don’t be surprised if you hear a yogi exclaim ‘Wahe Guru’ when something goes very, very wrong, too! ‘Wahe Guru’ is a mantra thatempowers your ability to be neutral in the midst of all situations; positive or negative. And, that is the definition of a true yogi - onewho is swayed neither by praise nor by slander; by the positive or negative in any situation.

Come experience the profound peace of practicing Kundalini Yoga kriyas, the deep psychological rest of chanting sacred mantras andthe use of sound as a tool for attunement and healing. Raise your Kundalini at Wahe Guru Fest at Stonehouse Farm, Sept. 9-10-11!

* Pronounced WHA HAY GOO ROO.

FridayNight

7:30 pm - Opening Circle with Shakta & Stonehouse Staff

8:00 pm - The Healing Power of Triple Gong & MantraKundalini Yoga, Meditation & Chanting with Shakta Kaur & Siri Bahadur Singh.

We begin our weekend by experiencing the deep healing power of the gong. The gong is a beautifulreinforced vibration that impacts the body by releasing blocks, reducing tension and clearing themind. After some ‘light’ Kundalini Yoga we use three Paiste symphonic gongs to allow an inflowof healing and energy to cascade into the body. Your mind will have no defense to the gong after 90seconds! At the close of our session we use primal sounds (mantra) to remind us that the entireuniverse was built on sound, on vibration. And, as we vibrate a particular combination of sounds,we tune into a different level of intelligence, or, consciousness. As we vibrate, so we become. As

we vibrate, the universe vibrates with us. And, as we vibrate we are healed.

Nervous System Regeneration to Heal StressPranayam, Gong & Chanting with Siri Bahadur Singh

We focus first on the movement of prana (life force) through warm-up exercises. Next, with deeppranayam we expand the first unit, the seed energy. A slight change in this seed vibration canchange our entire universe! After managing our energy with pranayam, the body, mind and ethericspace is prepared to respond to a lengthy gong session. This combination of practices totallyrejuvenates and balances the three nervous systems of the body; parasympathetic, sympathetic andvoluntary. We then reach a state of stillness — shuniya or ‘zero.’ Into this stillness a seed — bij —is planted to create a new rhythm or pattern of being. We are recharged and revitalized as we endwith uplifting group chanting!

The Art of Listening DeeplyMeditation, Chanting & Listening with Crown of Eternity aka Harnek Singh & Harnek Kaur

By listening deeply we open a space of great understanding, self-experience andself-transformation. This is an inner journey deep into the Self, listening consciously with ears, mind and heart. The yogis call listening sunni-ai. Sunni-ai translates as ‘deep listening.’ It meanshearing the sounds, the words, the subtlety — all that is below the surface — at the same time.Sunni-ai is intuition applied to listening. Deep listening, like radar, senses the shape and momentumof the present moment. Come attune yourself to the sound current with powerful meditations, chanting and listening techniques shared by Crown of Eternity. Open yourself to a deepersensitivity that will connect you to life in a whole new way.

The Healing Power of Our WordsChanting, Yoga, Affirmations, Meditation and the Gong with Shakta Kaur.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1,Bible) The power of the word and the technique of positive affirmation has been available tohumanity for thousands of years. Your words increase in power through repetition. And, positiveaffirmations as found in mantra can be used to elevate your mood, enhance your range of feelingsand command your state of mind. Come discover how to make your words more effective (whetherspoken or not!). We learn tips for creating positive affirmations of our own. And, we augment thepower of our word with Kundalini yoga, the gong and special meditations to heal any limitingbeliefs or outdated rationalizations.

Noon - Breathwalk—Chant as You Walk! With Shakta Kaur

Many spiritual traditions use walking as a form of meditating and connecting with nature andthemselves. Kundalini yogis have a ‘walking meditation’ practice called Breathwalk. WithBreathwalk you synchronize your breath with your footsteps and enhance the experience withdirected, meditative attention. Today we practice a Breathwalk that uses sound both out loud andsilently in our head. This particular Breathwalk is designed to take you ‘From Depression to Clear& Connected.’ And, we use two mantras as we Breathwalk: Sa Ta Na Ma chanted silently and WhaHay Gu Ru chanted in a whisper. This Breathwalk is guaranteed to heal even your most ‘funky’depressed state. And, you do it with the power of your own vibration!

“Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wahe Guru” is chanted each morning by thousands of Kundalini yogisworldwide. It is called the Long Chant or Morning Call. It was the only mantra Yogi Bhajan taughthis entire first year in the United States. It means, “One Creator created this Creation. Truth is HisName. Great beyond description is His Infinite wisdom.” Today we use the Long Chant to open ourchakras. With Morning Call we heal and find the Life that we Love to Live!

Kundalini Mantra Yoga: Why Chanting Works!Yoga, Meditation and Chanting with Shakta Kaur.

Kundalini Mantra Yoga is about tuning yourself; changing yourself from the inside. It is aboutbreaking your attachment and identification to the human world. You begin to dis-identify with thefinite-ness and identify with your subtle-ness. Ultimately, mantra brings you to the understandingthat there is just one-ness. You begin to find mantra overriding your thoughts! We call that‘becoming one with the mantra.’ Shakta shares some secrets of sacred chanting, explains thescience of naad and teaches a chanting meditation that can--quite literally--change your life. Cometo heal and command your state of mind. Experience your finite Self merging into the larger

Infinite, expansive Self. And, understand your true reality—that you are One with all.

SundayMorning

4:30 am - Early Morning Group Sadhana with Live Music

4:30 am – Japji (meditative prayer)*4:55 am – Kundalini Yoga Kriya (set of exercises)5:50 am – Aquarian Sadhana mantras**6:55 am – Hukam*** and the Long Time Sunshine Song7:00 am – Breakfast

"When a person gets up in the morning and does the sadhana, do you know whataccompanies that person? All the angels, all saints and sages come to listen.Their souls fly to those places to listen where God is chanted." –Yogi Bhajan

Early morning group sadhana begins at 4:30 am when the rays of the sun are hitting the earth at a60-degree angle. Why get up at this time? Because this is the time when all of the great spiritualteachers appear to bless, elevate and transform each one of us.

Doing group sadhana at this time develops group consciousness. At the beginning everyone has adifferent vibration. Some are still dreaming; others are already worried about their day. The morepeople there are the more these individual differences are balanced out. The happiness of oneperson balances the sadness of another. The individual auras merge and form a group aura. Wheneveryone’s energy has intermingled and merged, it is easier to communicate and be on the samewave length. And, this effect is experienced throughout the rest of the day, too!

Finally, from Yogi Bhajan, "When we meditate in a state of unisonness and tune into the mantra‘Wahe Guru,’... we erase the akashic record of cause and effect. However, this can only happenwhen the planet earth and the self are passing through the twilight zones of Time and Space. Theseare from 4 am to 7 am and 4 pm to 7 pm of local longitude and latitude. In the morning it is calledthe Amrit Vela, the ambrosial hours, and in the evening it is called ‘prayer time.’ Any meditationdone in the state of unisonness at that time gives us a clear tomorrow and erases the cause ofsorrow which we seed through our thoughts. Through meditation we stand redeemed. It is calledMoksha, nirvana, redemption, or liberation.”

* Japji is a prayer which relates the conscious mind to the soul. ‘Jap’ is often translated as ‘song of’and ‘-ji’ as ‘the soul.’ As a result, Japji is called the ‘song of the soul.’** Yogi Bhajan gave a specific sequence of mantras on June 21, 1992 with instructions to use themfor morning sadhana in this particular order: 1) Long Ek Ong Kar, 2) Wah Yantee, Kah Yantee, 3)the Mul Mantra, 4) Sat Siri, Siri Akaal, 5) Rakhe Rakhanahaar, 6) Wahe Guru Wahe Jio and 7) theGuru Ram Das chant.*** A hukam is the divine order of the day.

Inner Assessment and Mental Re-BootYoga, Meditation, Sound Healing with Siri Bahadur Singh

Come re-boot your brain so that it adjusts back to an optimal mode of balance in the body! Comeuse your breath in broader terms than simply respiration. Yogis constantly examine and break thehabit to ignore the breath. We consider how the breath and its movements are connected to themovements of all our emotions and thoughts. With deep breathing any loss of memory and feelingscan be restored. Peace can be brought back to our daytime tasks and nighttime sleep. Once the brainbecomes balanced—re-booted—peace is re-stored. Then it is possible to find our strength and movemore efficiently with the flow of life. Then we, too, can become conscious co-creators of peace, service, healing and unity.

Prayers, Blessings and Self-HealingYoga, Meditation and Ecstatic Dance with Shakta Kaur and Raj Inder Kaur

Whenever we want to reach the Unknown we pray. Prayer creates specific projections andfrequencies in the mind and aura. The prayer of a human through the power of the word is amanifestation of the divine itself. As we prepare for our departure today we also prepare to takehome the knowledge that we can tap into our Unknown to bring health, blessings andhealing…anytime! After yoga and meditating we move deeper yet with Ecstatic Dance. We totallylet go of anything that does not serve our highest and best self! Finally, we’ll use the power of ahealing circle to chant together. We end by multiplying the effects of our individual selves throughthe power of our group’s projection.
