FYI! October is parent visitation month, so please mark your calendar for October 30th from 4:30-6 pm. we will be hosting an open house for all kindergarten -5th grade classes. This will be a come and go type atmosphere. Parents can view beautifully displayed art work, classwork and projects from their student in less than 10 minutes.

First Grade Notes:

The most important thing you can do for your child’s education is to read to them 10 to 15 minutes every night. Record the time or books on the reading log in the back of your child’s binder. For every 10 books read, your child goes to the treasure box.

Practice writing sentences with your child. Ask him or her to draw a picture. Then write sentences about the picture. If child is ready, let the child write the sentences. If your child needs practice, write the sentence and let the child copy it.
