Let’s Paint the City Blue!
The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, RochesterRotary Club, Holy Rosary Credit Union, Rochester ElksLodge 1393 and Rochester Main Street have joinedtogether again this year to recognize the positive impact theRochester Police Department has on our community. Thegoal is to have business and community engagement withvisual displays throughout the City to show support for ourmen and women in blue including decorating public spacesand have residents and businesses participate bydecorating their property with blue lights, bows, garland andsignage on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
The group is currently seeking approximately 30-40business partners to contribute $100 as a Partner or $250as a Flag Sponsor by August 10, which will be used topurchase supplies for this effort. You spoke—we listened.To continue the value of the Leadership GreaterRochester program in a shorter timeframe forparticipants and their employers, we are shorteningthe time period of the program. This valuable programwill now begin in January and end in May. The samecontent will be incorporated into five full-day sessionsrather than half-day sessions over a 9 month period.Sessions include participants learning about andmeeting experts in the city, region and state on Arts &Culture, City Government, Criminal Justice, Education,Economic Development, Health & Human Services,Non-Profit organizations and more. In addition tosessions, experiential assignments are provided.Consider participating or sending an employee to learnmore about the community and meet those involved.Applications are enclosed herein. Eversource Energy: In order to advance clean energy in NH and to provide thebenefits of solar to low-and moderate-income customers in its ElectricAssistance Program (EAP), Eversource filed a proposal with the NH PublicUtilities Commission (NH PUC) for the Clean Innovation Community SolarProgram. This pilot program will support up to 20 total MW of new solargeneration through multiple projects and provide savings to thousands of EAPcustomers through bill credits. The program will provide bill credits toparticipating EAP customers for 10 years once the new solar generation facilitiesare operating, and is expected to deliver several million dollars in savings tothose customers. First Church Congregational United Church of Christ is presenting a fundraisercalled "Shower the Church" throughout the year until December 31, 2019. People’s United Community Foundation (PUCF), the philanthropic arm ofPeople’s United Bank, N.A., today announced that it awarded $78,000 to NewHampshire non-profits during its most recent grant cycle. 9. Commitment to the ProgramThe Leadership Greater Rochester program is conducted on business days, once a month from January to
May.. Requirements include: Reading assignments Experiential assignments prior to each session. Attendance - If a participant misses more than 1 session, he/she will be dropped from the
program and tuition will be forfeited. Candidates must have the support and commitment of their employer. A letter of support to
participate in the program from your employer must accompany this application.
10. TuitionTuition for Leadership Greater Rochester is $500.00 payable by either the applicant and/or their employer.
Scholarships are offered to those who demonstrate need. If you wish to request scholarship assistance,please attach a letter describing your need and the amount requested.
