September 2016 The Voice of Kennett Square Area Newcomers Club
Wanda Kelly 303-999-5491 [email protected] Hi Ladies!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer with your
family and friends. Our June Adventurers trip to the
Michener Art Museum and the Carousel Lavender
Farm with our own Newcomers friends was great! We truly enjoyed
the private tour of the lavender Farm with Nikko, one of the owners.
Thanks to our Adventurers Committee for making it possible. They tell
me that they have much more planned this coming year so be sure to
read the KSANC newsletter for the latest Adventure!
Our We Care committee was busy volunteering their time providing an
enjoyable afternoon of Bingo at the Chester County Pocopson Home
in July. Thank you, ladies. They, too, have a lot planned for the com-
ing year. On Saturday, October 1, you can enjoy Chester County Day
for free by volunteering a half-day as a tour guide at one of the nearby
tour homes. Please contact Barb DiSabatino or Troy Patterson for
more information.
It seems that time is moving faster for me with each passing year.
Summer is almost gone, bringing my favorite season, fall. Let’s get
together with friends we haven’t seen all summer long on Wednesday,
September 14, 10:00 a.m. at the Somerset Lake Clubhouse. I
would love to see you all and catch up over coffee. All are welcome.
We can meet and talk about what the standing committees have
planned for us. Our next Luncheon is Wednesday, September 21, at
Delaware Park and Casino. I have been told that there is a surprise,
so make sure to sign up as soon as possible.
Hope to see you at our Welcome Coffee on September 14. Also, a
friendly reminder to send in your membership renewal forms!
Looking forward to seeing you… Wanda

If you can help us out, please call or email Barb or Troy. Halloween Bingo at Pocopson Home Monday, October 17, at 2:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help the residents play Bingo.
